In principle, it is quite possible to paint concrete, laminate, wallpaper and even linoleum. But here's how to do it so that the result looks decent, and does not disgrace your home? You just need to know some of the nuances in working with each of these materials, and everything will work out. Let's deal with each case separately.

How to paint laminate
What is laminate - in fact, it is thick cardboard covered with a moisture-resistant layer. This is what presents the problem when painting. Before painting, this layer must be treated with fine emery to ensure adhesion to the paint. This job is dirty, so get ready to remove fine dust. The task will be greatly facilitated by a grinder. After such treatment, the laminate will lose some of its water-repellent properties, but the paint will make up for the loss. It is best to thoroughly vacuum and wipe the floor with a damp cloth before painting.
Not every paint is suitable for laminate flooring. Do not use oily and water-dispersed ones. The best results are shown by alkyd and polyurethane paints. After painting, the surface should be varnished with the same base.
Is it possible to paint ceramic tiles
Only porcelain stoneware does not tolerate painting - its surface is so resistant to external influences that the paint simply does not stick to it. There is no point in wasting paint for tiles that are constantly in contact with water.
But in all other cases - why not? As with the laminate version, the tile surface must be prepared for adhesion by sanding. After processing and removing dust, the tiles are degreased with a solvent and only then a primer based on epoxy resin is applied - this composition will allow you to keep any paint. This primer dries for 24 hours - so don't be in a hurry.
There are also special paints for ceramics on sale, but for large surfaces it is very expensive.
Do not paint the tiles with a brush - use a foam roller or spray is better.
The finishing stage of painting is necessarily a varnish on the same basis as the paint.
What happens if you paint linoleum
Actually, of course, painting linoleum is not the best idea. The fact is that the material itself is short-lived - over time it becomes hard and brittle, in especially passable places it is erased almost to the point of holes. But if there is an urgent need to quickly update the floor before buying a new material, then you can paint it.
To prepare the surface, linoleum is rubbed with soda moistened with warm water. Cracks in the material can be simply filled. Acrylic primer is used before painting.
Combined colors can be used to diversify the drawing.
How can concrete be painted
Concrete is the easiest to paint. It accepts water-based paints, silicone and rubber paints well. If you need to paint concrete outside the building, then oil, alkyd and silicate paints are the best choice in this case.
If there are efflorescence on the surface, they are treated with copper sulfate and primed after grinding.
