1st place

Concern Toyota in 2009 was the number 1 in the world rating of automakers. Toyota sold 7.4 million cars and light commercial vehicles weighing up to 3.5 tons. The well-known market research institute IHS Automotive predicts that by 2015 Toyota will increase the number of cars produced to 10.2 million.

2nd place

In 2009, VW became number 2. The number of produced cars and commercial vehicles weighing up to 3.5 tons amounted to 6.4 million pieces. The Wolfsburg concern is set to significantly reduce the gap to the leader: the expected sales per year are projected at 9.1 million cars. Until 2018 Volkswagen intends to become the No. 1 company in the world. At the same time, they did not take into account Suzuki's partner - they counted only 9 brands from 7 European countries: Volkswagen, Audi, Seat,? Koda, VW Nutzfahrzeuge , Bentley , Bugatti , Lamborghini and Scania .Porsche will take into account in the general statistics from 2011.

3rd place

The world leader, concern General Motors intensively conducts its financial recovery and strives for success. According to IHS forecasts, the number of sales will increase from 6.1 to 8.6 million by 2015.Thus, the American concern is and will remain in the near future in the third place.

4th place

Hyundai, together with its subsidiary Kia, is considered the most aggressive and fastest growing automotive brand in the world. According to IHS Automotive, the current number 4 will increase its sales in the near future from 5.0 to 6.3 million vehicles per year.

5th place

Ford - the second largest American manufacturer from the "big three".In 2009, the concern took the 5th place, for the next 5 years the volume of its production will grow to 6.1 million cars. Not the least role in this will play and the recovery of the US market, which is currently the second in the world after the Chinese.

6th place

Honda - the 2nd largest Japanese automaker. In the world rating for 2009 the company took 6th place with the number of 3.4 million cars. By 2015 it is expected to grow to the level of 5.2 million

7th place

French concern PSA took the 7th place, selling in 2009 3.2 million cars brand Citroen and Peugeot. It is expected to grow to 4.1 million

8th place

Nissan sold in 2009 about 3.1 million cars without taking into account its strategic partner - the company Renault. This allowed Nissan to take an honorable 8th place in the world ranking. Until 2015, the number of Nissan will increase to 4.9 million per year

9th place

The Italian concern Fiat sold 2.4 million cars in 2009 and took the 9th position in the rating. Chief of the concern Sergio Marchionne( Sergio Marchionne) already now willingly includes in the results sold cars Chrysler , although in an honest Italian company owns only 20% of the American concern. According to conservative forecasts by IHS Automotive, by 2015 alone Fiat will be able to reach a figure of about 3 million units.
