Any home appliances from time to time fails, especially if it is used frequently, intensively and for a long time. But which element of the system will be out of order or worn out first of all - nobody can foresee this. Therefore, to orient oneself in the question of what exactly it is necessary to repair without professional diagnostics, it is possible only on the grounds of faults. For example, what is the reason if the dishwasher does not drain the water and there is water in the dishwasher. We will deal with this in this article.

How does the

dishwasher work? As with washing, the water enters the dishwasher through the inlet valve. But in this case it is single.

Sequence of work:

  1. The water fills the tank no higher than the lower waterproofing of the door. There are cases when it is heated, after that it is pumped by means of a recirculation pump through the pipe into the rocker arm.
  2. The rain from the jets washes the dishes, with the individual holes directed in such a way as to create a torque armature. This is where the movement takes place.
  3. Water accumulates at the bottom of the compartment, passes through the system from a fine and coarse filter, collects in a sump, and, following the program, is fed to a repeat washing cycle.
  4. After completion, the drain pump resets the dirty water stream to the sewer.

Important! For all this cycle follows the pressure switch, the heater, if necessary - heats the water, solenoid valve, mixes the softening salt according to the sensor or the regulator. Powder, as well as other means are inside the dispenser on the door itself, as necessary, they are thrown into the operating chamber.

It should be said that pressure of the pressure switch is usually selected in several places:

  • In the side tank for collecting water at the time of dialing.
  • In the sump, where it is necessary to control the level during the descent.

Important! The central management system can use this information in a variety of ways.

Why does not the dishwasher drain the water?

The first and most common reason why a dishwasher does not drain water is clogging up all filters. Only from the side it may seem that the gaps there are quite large. In fact, after the deep filter goes thin, where it is almost impossible to see the parameters of the holes without using a magnifying glass.

The most difficult thing for the owners of Whirlpool, if any:

  1. To get the filter, you will be forced to almost completely disassemble the entire system of impellers, removing the original lower and undocking the plastic stroke for water.
  2. After this you can remove the lid of the sump together with the filters.
  3. Clean the filter, wash it under running water, try to pump out the water.
  4. For verification, you can manually pour several glasses into the operating chamber.

After turning on your dishwasher, as soon as it detects water, it will try to get rid of it by turning on the pump. The convenience of this particular equipment, in contrast to the washing equipment, is that the drain pump must be simply dismantled. For this we recommend that you remove the lower front cover. Access to the pump is hidden from the bottom.

Important! The drainage pump is supported by several screws, in the case of Whirlpool it will be Torx.

The mechanism of the dishwasher reminds us of what we can see in the washing machine. Namely:

  • An asynchronous motor with several coils at the base.
  • Magnetic rotor with several poles.
  • The cruciform impeller, with the help of centrifugal acceleration, pushes all the water to the periphery through the cochlea.
  • Power supply, as a rule, from the 220 V network.

We check the impeller

If the cleaning of the filter has not yielded any particular results - the dishwasher does not drain the water and the water in the dishwasher is standing, check whether your impeller is spinning.

It must rotate a little tight and immediately about a quarter scrolling, jerks. The coils ring, as a rule, it is about 200 Ohm. It's enough just to check the whole mechanism by including 220 V in the network.

Important! During the dismantling of the pump, water will certainly go down. No special precautions in dishwashers are often not available, due to the fact that the volume is not as large as in washing machines.

As a rule, coils for pumps, you can rewind yourself. The cost of the new part is not that big. Whether it is necessary to waste time - solve independently. By the way, you can attach a rotor in the future for any homemade

Pressostat in the dishwasher

If the water remains in the dishwasher, the pressure key may be to blame. Both pressure chambers are made in such a way that water, and even more so, pieces of food should not get inside - only air.

Pressure collection chambers in the sump are held on one or two screws and can be easily removed. It is such a box, of a small size, which is made of plastic, placed upside down. From under the bottom you will notice that a transparent tube is attached to the pressure chamber, which extends from the pressure switch. Using pliers, remove the clamp, and then dismantle this plastic part:

  1. Disconnect this tube from the side of the pressure switch.
  2. After this, thoroughly check the operation of the pressure sensor itself. To do this, from the side of the pressure switch, attach the tube to the seat.
  3. Blow into it to hear a click.

Important! The water in the sump is in constant motion, its level varies. This happens because the recirculation pump draws from here.

In order to eliminate the constant clicks of the pressure switch, together with the tester in your hands, and also the tubes in your mouth, start ringing the contacts. Only if you see a drop in resistance straight to zero, you can assume that everything is fine.

What should I do when the dishwasher constantly flushes the collected water?

The first thing that can serve as a reason - the leakage microswitch has broken, on which the float valve could press. This mechanism is at the bottom and fairly simple to test.

Get rid of the cause:

  1. Call it at the bottom and top position of the float position. The result must necessarily be different - a break and a short circuit. If the bottom of the tray is really water, find out how she got there.
  2. After this, eliminate leakage.
  3. Absolutely drain all the liquid, dry the pallet, try restarting the dishwasher.

Important! Another reason may be more trivial. If the water outlet point of your drain hose is slightly below the filling level of the tank, spontaneous descent will occur. Change the position of the discharge pipe, and the problem that the dishwasher does not drain the water properly will be solved.

We have listed for you the main types of malfunctions, which are related to the fact that the dishwasher does not drain the water. We hope that our advice will help you when solving technical problems.
