If you conceived a repair or just decided to move furniture, it is important to present the result before the work begins. At the same time, one of your ideas will not be enough, because in order for the work to be successful, you need to clearly present the result and build an action plan from it. Therefore, you need to draw a drawing room with furniture in pencil. Let's try to figure out how to do it right.
to content ↑The
perspective The first thing we need to do when deciding to draw a room design is to build a frontal perspective. But first, let's define what is needed, what it is for.
What is the perspective?
This is a special distortion of the real proportions and a change in the shape of the objects in the drawing. This is done to make the image more realistic. For example, a straight road with a perspective image will be connected to a point that goes to the horizon.
The frontal perspective implies that all elements of the drawing will be related to a single point, called the vanishing point. At this stage, it should be remembered that there is an angular perspective. Although the principle of constructing these two species will be the same, there are differences in them and they can not be confused. For the angular perspective, two points of descent and alignment are used, which allows you to create the depth of the picture.
So, let's see how to create on a flat sheet of paper an almost real three-dimensional room in the form of a drawing with furniture in pencil.
to the contents ↑Drawing a room
Let's try to depict any fantasy room, but first we'll get ready a little.
What is needed?
To create a sketch, we need very little:
- Several well-sharpened simple pencils with different softness.
- Eraser for removing unnecessary lines, adjusting the sketch.
- Ruler for drawing smooth lines.
- Colored pencils if you want to paint a sketch.
- Sharpener for pencils.
- Several sheets of paper on which you will work.
Preparation is complete - you can start working. To do this will help you a simple sequence of actions.
Steps:
- First, we turn to the back wall of the room, using a ruler draw two horizontal lines that will be parallel to the top of our sheet.
- Draw two vertical lines parallel to the sides of the sheet, respectively. In the end, we should get a square.
- In the center of our square we put a point. It will be that very reference point of the drawing of the room with furniture.
- Next, draw two pencil lines diagonally from one corner to the other so that they intersect at the reference point without strongly pressing.
- After that we can erase all the lines inside the square, leaving only the point of descent, which is located in the center. We got a sketch of the room in perspective, but this is only the beginning.
- Next, start making a door marking. When working, do not press the pencil too hard so that you can correct the picture in case of an error. Please note that we are drawing in bulk, so in the drawing the bottom of the door or doorway should be slightly wider than the top.
- In the same way we draw the floor, the walls, while always remembering the creation of the illusion of volume.
- From the point of descent, draw a slightly visible line to the near side of the door. It will become the base for the rest of the drawing room with furniture.
- Draw a window opening. Usually it is located opposite the door. Do not forget to create a volume, and make the bottom lines a bit larger than the top ones.
- Use horizontal and vertical stripes to show slopes for windows and doors. In the same way, draw a sketch for the ladder.
- For drawing a ladder, you can take the back wall of the room as a basis. By its pattern, we draw horizontal and vertical lines to get the far part of the ladder.
Important! When creating a drawing, all straight lines must be parallel to the very first line. Otherwise - the purity of the picture and the prospects may not work.
- Then we again use our starting point. All corners of the steps of the ladder are drawn using a support. Sketches are made from point to side, and after - the extra lines are deleted.
- To give our drawing room a room with furniture of clarity we trace all the corners, making them more sharp, and also shade the places of shadows, depending on where the lamps will be located.
The sketch drawing is almost ready, if the result does not satisfy you - you can try a few more times: rearrange the objects in the figure, arrange other lighting. Next, you can try to draw a sketch of your room.
Make a sketch from the real object:
- First find a convenient point, from which you will be well-seen room.
- Stay comfortable as you will have to keep the sheet still for a while.
- Also place the paper so that when you close one eye it is parallel, or better - it coincides with the far corner of the room from you.
- Next - without moving the sheet from the place, sketch all the elements that you see in the room: walls, floor, ceiling, furniture, textiles and lighting. After - you can relax a little. The sheet needs to be scanned and a copy of it printed. The scanned sheet is colored with a pencil, adding details, light and shadow.
Important! Adding details, do not overdo it. First make an easy sketch, and after that, add lines and draw shadows.
Recommendations:
- When creating a picture, work carefully and carefully - any inaccuracy can lead to a distortion of the parts relative to each other.
- Do not forget to use the ruler. Drawing by hand, of course, looks more alive, but if we talk about accuracy - the ruler is the best assistant.
- In order not to confuse the guides and the main lines, you can shade the areas of the floor and ceiling, or work in different colors.
- If you want to complete the drawing, you can decorate walls and other surfaces with patterns, paintings or graffiti.
- For the correct arrangement of furniture and other large items in the room, be guided by the guide lines.
- At the end of the work, do not forget to remove unnecessary lines with the eraser.
Of course, the first time you are unlikely to draw the perfect drawing, but after a little training, you will get an excellent drawing of the room with furniture and other items.
We dismantled one of the complex variants of drawing a room. Such a sketch will turn out to be very beautiful and detailed, but sometimes it is simply not necessary. Therefore, then talk about how to create a simple drawing plan of a room with pencil furniture.

If you are going to do a reshuffle, you do not need to imagine what the furniture will look like. It is more important that it fits in a given space, so it's easier and more convenient to draw a drawing of a room with pencil furniture - a view from above.
Important! For work you can use computer programs. But if they are not installed, it's pointless to waste time downloading and learning their functions. Much faster it is done manually.
We will need
Here everything is very simple:
- measuring tape for measuring real objects;
- eraser and sharpened pencil;
- sharpener;
- ruler;
- paper on which we will draw up a plan and a sheet in the cage.
Having prepared everything necessary, we begin work.
Sequence of actions
The operation is simple enough if you are careful about the dimensions, and observe the following steps:
- The first step is to draw on the sheet the shape of your room with all the bends of the walls.
- Then, using a tape measure, measure all the dimensions of the walls, write them to the drawing of the room with furniture.
- After - on the sketch note the location of batteries, risers, windows and doors. The square that is involved in opening the door is drawn as a quarter of a circle and shaded.
- Do not forget to note on the diagram where the sockets and switches are located.
- Next, we turn to measuring the dimensions of furniture. If there are no niches in the room, then the height of the objects is not important to us.
- But the height of the room will need to be measured and noted next to the drawing.
- After all measurements, take the sheet in a cage or drawing paper, and draw up a neat drawing of the room. To do this, select the optimal scale. A ratio of 1:20 is considered convenient, but you can choose whatever is convenient for you.
- Use a pencil and ruler, and draw a perimeter of the room according to the chosen scale.
- Next, we transfer from the sketch all the furniture, windows, doors and sockets. To indicate the opening of the door, you can use the compass.
- The final step is to remove the jagged lines with the eraser and mark the drawing on the scale and real dimensions.
Important! That the scheme was understandable, it is not necessary to overload it and to sign each object. It is enough to shade them in different ways and to take out shading for the drawing as designations.
On this drawing of the room with furniture pencil ready, now, guided by the scale, you can move items as you would like. Good luck!
