7. The escape from the prison "Mays", 1983

This audacious action is the loudest escapade in the history of Britain. The prison "Mays" was considered one of the most reliable in Europe, however, 38 members of the Irish Republican Army overcame two five-meter barricades and broke free. Out of 38 fugitives, 18 were caught in the early days, a few more people were later found in the United States.

6. Pascal Pieta's Escape, 2007

Pascal was sent to prison for a murder committed during the robbery of a collection vehicle. He twice managed to carry out not very successful shoots, each time returning behind bars. However, in 2007 Pajeta's accomplices hijacked a helicopter in Cannes, where they landed directly on the roof of the prison and literally "repelled" the prisoner from the guards. The helicopter was later found on the Mediterranean coast, but no trace of the impudent gang was found.

The story of this American robber formed the basis of the Hollywood picture with Johnny Depp. On the account of Dillinger several shoots, however, he made the loudest of the Crooon Point prison considered impregnable. 1. Billy Hayes escapes from the Turkish prison, 1970

Hayes was convicted by the Turkish authorities for drug smuggling and sentenced to life imprisonment. After serving four years in prison, Hayes gained the confidence of one of the guards, who, in the final analysis, managed to deceive him. Wearing the form of a guard, Billy left the prison, dyed his blond hair and walked to Greece on foot. He turned the story of his escape into a literary work, writing an autobiography.
