Condition of the apartment before renovation

Nelly Pshennaya moved to her apartment back in 1995. At that time, there were huge difficulties with the materials, so the actress did not begin to make repairs. From the previous owners got a good parquet floor and modest wallpaper. Soon the daughter got married, granddaughters were born, the renovation of the interior again receded into the background.

The area of the room is relatively small, only 16 sq. m. The apartment has a huge plus - a loggia, the accession of which will make it possible to realize all the plans of the designers. Such works require agreement with the local administration, therefore a preliminary project was completed.

Balcony reconstruction

On the balcony, a new two-chamber double-glazed unit was installed from a three-layer glued timber of Siberian larch with a French layout. The walls, ceiling and floor were insulated with modern tiles from a Russian manufacturer. Due to its high thermal insulation properties, a material of small thickness can be used.

On the loggia, the old frame was dismantled

After dismantling the window block into the living room, an opening 180 cm wide was obtained. The designers installed a white double swing door with an English layout, made from a combined solid wood. Sunlight will enter the room almost unhindered through the transparent glazing.

To maintain the concept, an interior door was installed in a similar design. The canvas is decorated with a false transom and platbands. Brass fittings are made in Spain and fit perfectly into the overall interior.

Capacious wardrobes were installed at the ends of the loggia

Warm electric floors were made on the loggia and in the living room. The two-core thermal cable has five layers of insulation and is safe to use. A screed was poured on top and a parquet board was laid. All wall and ceiling lights on the loggia are made in Germany.

The width of the balcony allowed for two storage systems. The shelves and walls of the cabinets are made of moisture-resistant chipboard, the facades are made of laminated MDF with imitation of milling. Decorated with brass-styled hinges and handles.

The sequence of repairs in the living room

A snow-white matte canvas was stretched on the ceiling. The old flooring was dismantled and a 15.5 mm thick engineered plank was installed with a classic French herringbone. The top layer of the parquet is made of oak veneer. The brushed surface creates the illusion of antiquity.

Rounded furniture configurations expand the free space of the living room

The walls were painted with English water-based paint. The height of the ceilings is 2.8 m. To visually enlarge the room, a wide cornice with a large radius, made of polyurethane foam, was installed. In a similar but linear design, the skirting board was chosen. With the help of moldings, we created wall niches for placing photographs.

The shade of brass tied the entire interior into a single composition

A luxurious biofuel fireplace gives the living room a touch of solemnity. Its portal is made of polyurethane and follows the outline of cornices, moldings and skirting boards. The hearth is equipped with two fire modes and has a child lock function.

Previously, radiators were under the window, they had to be dismantled. The designers chose vertical tubular radiators made in Italy and installed them on the wall to the left of the balcony.

An original choice of furniture

A modern radial sofa with polyurethane foam filling was installed in the recreation area. An elegant armchair with a durable fabric decorated with piping was selected from the same collection. Next to it was an Italian glass-and-metal table with a round top.
