Now you can insert the wires all the way into the connector. And check again if it matches the chosen scheme. Once you have verified that there are no errors, you can start crimping.
First, the cable retainer is pressed in with a screwdriver. It needs to be snapped in for greater reliability. The retainer is pushed inward while pressing the outer insulation. Then, one by one, with a screwdriver, the knives of the connector are pressed into the conductors. The same must be done on the other side of the cable. For strong and reliable contact of the cable with the connector, you need to press on the contacts quite hard, but do not damage the cable. The connector blades cut through the insulation and make contact with the conductor.
There are connectors in which the wires snap into place even without a screwdriver. Only they are hard to find on the free market.
The assembled cable must be checked for functionality. There is a special tangent tester for this. If there is a problem with the installation, a red light on the tester will light up. If everything is in order, it will light up green.
