Laminate can be moisture resistant, and it becomes so thanks to a special base. Conventional laminate is made from MDF or fiberboard. In any case, this is a kind of cardboard that gets wet from moisture and changes its shape. But moisture-resistant models are based on plastic or HDF. And this segment has its own gradation: for waterproof and moisture resistant coatings.
And not only that, waterproof laminate models are stacked so tightly that in the event of a leak in the bathroom room, they will hold the defense for a long time until you eliminate this leak, and save you from conflict with neighbors below.
Thus, HDF is a moisture resistant laminate with several pressed layers of sawdust and epoxy resin impregnated with wax. This laminate is wrapped in a durable polymer film that protects the material from getting wet.
