Despite the availability of dry cleaning services, the question of how to remove the paint from jeans on its own does not lose its relevance. It is very difficult to remove persistent contamination from such a dense fabric, there is always a risk of damage to the product or the appearance of stains on the surface. Work carried out at home is also complicated by the fact that it is not always clear with what type of dye it is necessary to deal with. If some dirt can be washed without problems, then to eliminate others, sometimes you have to spend several days, gradually sorting out the available options.
How to properly wash jeans stained with paint?
It is possible to clean jeans pants from paint by washing only if the formation is still fresh and did not dry out. In this case, experts suggest acting according to the following scheme:
- First, moisten the area with a stain with warm water, rub it with brown soap, for a few minutes three soiling with a brush. The water-based paint with this effect will begin to gradually depart. In this case, soak the product in soapy water for several hours and then try to wash the stain by hand.
- Some formulations do not withstand treatment with dishwashing detergents. Concentrated composition is applied directly to the problem zone, wait a few minutes and try to clean the surface with a dense sponge or soft brush. Then we cover the thing and send it to the washing machine.

- Industrial stain removers. It is better to acquire such a composition in advance and keep it at home. The main thing is to take exactly the product that will act on the paint. If the drug is not on time, you can soak the product in a soapy solution and run after it to the store, the effectiveness of the impact will not decrease.
Tip: Special stain removers are considered to be the safest means of combating stains from paint. But do not expect that they can remove the problem for one approach. Sometimes you have to repeat the manipulation at least 3-4 times, until you can get rid of persistent pollution.
With the help of these tools, it is almost impossible to wash the dried old stain from the paint. In this case, the following approaches will have a greater effect:
- Petrol. With its help you can take even a stubborn multi-year stain. For this it is necessary to carry out several manipulations in sequence. First, paint to the maximum try to wipe off with a blunt knife or brush. Then we put a flap of white cloth under the wrong side of the spot and apply gasoline directly to the paint.
