The order of sharpening is as follows:
- Screw the jeans inside out so as not to spoil the thing.
- Spread them on a flat surface.
- Place a bushing from the foil underneath the fabric, an even narrow bar, a narrow ruler or other flat object, the width of which is smaller than the length of the cutting part in the cassette. This is a necessary condition, as there are protrusions on the edges of the cassette that will not allow the blade to be sharpened on a flat surface. Gasket under the fabric must be placed so that the tissue scars passed diagonally.
- Place the blade of the cassette on the bar and guide it along the fabric, in the direction opposite to that in which the machine moves during shaving. And so 50 times we grind the blade, conducting them only in one direction.
- We unfold the razor, and similarly we grind the cassette about the jeans, now taking them to the other side.
After this procedure, you can again feel comfortable shaving. Periodically sharpening the cassettes, you can significantly extend their life. This way you can sharpen both disposable razors and branded ones, such as "Vest".
Instead of denim, you can use a strip of leather of the desired width, cut from an old belt or an unnecessary leather thing. To sharpen follows about the reverse - the unpainted side of the skin. Sharpening occurs somewhat faster than tissue. Enough will be 20-30 passes in one direction. In the opposite direction, as in jeans, sharpening is not necessary.
Special tools for sharpening
Currently, special devices have started to appear on the market, with which you can easily sharpen the blade of any shaving machine - both budget and reusable.
The simplest of them are designed for manual sharpening. The method resembles editing on denim. Only instead of jeans it uses a strip of special plastic with an admixture of the smallest abrasive, laid on a convenient base in the form of a rod.
