And, for example, office workers show real wonders of imagination in the process of decorating. A wide variety of office supplies are used, from paper clips to folders. Yes, there is something barbaric about it, but let's calm the righteous anger and look critically. There are some books that have a direct road to decor or waste paper. Surely you will find several completely useless opuses like "How to make money from knitting" or "Five steps to wealth". We all occasionally buy such reading for the long journey or for the subway trips, which then becomes a useless dust collector. And if you work in an office, then there are cards in your hands: by the end of the year, many files lose their value and, one way or another, will be written off and destroyed. So why not use them for decoration?

So take a critical look at the situation, for sure you will find something suitable for such work, which does not represent any intellectual value at all.

In addition to the book, you will need a clerical knife, scissors and glue. And by the way, you can easily do this during working hours, if all other things have already been done.

We mark up and cut the pages

If you have a book, the first step is to get rid of the cover, we only need to bind the printed sheets.

The author was using a regular book, so he had to trim the edge so that the height of the book was a multiple of 6 cm. But this is not important, the height can be a multiple of 7, 8, and so on, the main thing is that you can divide it by 3

The tree will have 3 tiers, so divide the height of your base by 3 and mark the horizontal lines

The markup will now be more complex. You need to draw such steps on each tier. The main idea is that you should end up with 3 even squares, connecting to each other, like steps with a half-square step. We marked the places of cuts and incisions with red lines

Further work is long and painstaking: with a knife and scissors you need to cut off everything unnecessary, page by page, constantly checking the markup so that there are no distortions

Please note: you need not only to cut out the excess according to the markup, but also to cut the page exactly to the middle of the previous square

Cutting an entire volume is quite difficult, so periodically, in order not to deviate from the necessary lines, the markup will have to be transferred to new pages.

When the whole book has already been cut, you need to make folds on the sheets. Not necessarily on each, you can do them on two or three at once. The bend goes obliquely from the top of the marked square to the edge, as shown in the photo

It is necessary to bend all three tiers on the page in this way. So that the book does not interfere with you and does not open constantly during work, fasten the folded sheets with a clothespin or press down with something heavy

When all the edges are bent, the tree will open by itself and you can put it on the table. Nice work, right? But that is not all

Decorating a book tree

How is the New Year tree different from the usual one? Right! Decor! And the Christmas tree should also be decorated.

From the same book pages (you can use the cut out squares), make a star on top of your head

Attach the star to a toothpick or kebab stick. You can add a bead or other decoration. You can paint the star if you like. Great idea - bright marker

The decoration is simply attached to the book tree with ordinary glue. A drop in the very center - and install

The finishing touches are half beads or rhinestones. You can fix the threads of tinsel or rain on the Christmas tree, glue small balls and confetti. You can paint the edges with a marker in green, spray from the spray with silver or gold paint

That's all the work, and what a wonderful result! The most important thing is to make sure that the ledger will definitely go to write-off, otherwise your chief accountant is unlikely to enjoy such a surprise on the table. Although, let us tell you a secret, deep down they all want to put current filings on the Christmas trees.

And one more little piece of advice: it's not worth doing this kind of work with a child. Otherwise, you may see a mathematics textbook in a Christmas tree, and that in the middle of the school year will be a real disaster.
