Unique apartments of Tatiana Ustinova
About 15 years ago Tatyana Ustinova bought a unique two-level apartment in a new brick building located in Zhukovsky. The apartments were rented out without finishing, so the spouses independently performed an unusual redevelopment and made quality repairs.
In the apartment, first of all, the kitchen was combined with the living room and the hall. The writer's office was set up nearby. The upper tier was occupied by two children's bedrooms and a matrimonial bedroom with a spacious balcony. Tatyana Ustinova independently developed a simple but rather functional design project with finishing mainly from natural materials.
Elegant notes in the kitchen-living room
Zoning in the kitchen-living room is done with flooring. In the working area, light tiles were laid, and a parquet board was chosen for the hall. The transition was decorated with small-format tiles.
A classic solid wood set was installed in the kitchen, the doors of which are decorated with panels and spectacular handles with ceramic decor. The upper modules are complemented by transparent glass with laser engraving. On the countertop made of light quartz agglomerate, an integrated sink with an L-shaped retro mixer and a hob were installed.
For the apron, a square beige tile with a strip of dark decor was used. The snow-white domed hood was decorated around the perimeter with a cornice from the massif. Nearby, a dining area has been set up with a large oval table and classic chairs.
Design of creative space
The office is decorated in a traditional classic style. The furniture was ordered according to the individual sketch of the writer. A large one-pedestal table made of solid wood was placed near the window. Tall bookcases with open top shelves were installed along the wall. The room is decorated with pencil drawings by Tatyana Ustinova's grandfather.
Luxurious staircase to the second floor
A luxurious staircase made of natural wood leads to the second floor. Thanks to the screw structure, there is enough free space in the hall. The array is painted with a protective semi-matt varnish that does not cover the beautiful natural pattern. The walls along the march are decorated with paintings and small torch-shaped sconces.
Bright colors in nurseries
Children's rooms are decorated in brighter colors. For the eldest son, they chose a white and blue nautical theme. A corner table and a comfortable armchair were placed near the window. A large wardrobe and an ottoman were placed opposite. For the youngest son, juicy shades of light green were used.
Cozy sitting area on the balcony
From the bedroom you can go out onto a spacious loggia, which has a cozy seating area. A three-chamber double-glazed window was installed on the balcony, and all surfaces were additionally insulated. The walls were decorated with clinker tiles combined with painting. The design is complemented by comfortable furniture made of artificial rattan.
Family estate of the Ustinov couple
Several years ago, Tatyana Ustinova and her husband bought a finished house in the small village of Ilyinka along Novorizhskoe highway. The spouses had no time to deal with construction, so they looked after a cottage with a finished finish. At first, the family came to their mansion only on weekends, but gradually they almost completely moved out of town.
Features of home decoration
The brick house was built surrounded by a pine forest. Tatyana Ustinova found a use for the cones, which are simply dotted with the local area. The writer uses them to heat a samovar made back in 1871. The relic was inherited from the great-grandmother.
On the ground floor of the house, there is a spacious hall, which turns into a dining room and a kitchen, and a guest room. The upper tier was occupied by the offices of the writer and her husband, as well as the matrimonial bedroom and two nurseries.
Oak parquet is laid on the floor in the whole house with a French herringbone, the walls are painted in a light milky color. The windows are equipped with energy-efficient wooden double-glazed windows with chrome fittings.
Unusual accents in the living room
The living room has two seating areas. In one, on a modern cabinet made of metal and glass, a large plasma was installed. A unique American-style rocking chair was placed opposite. It is made of solid wood and complemented by a soft seat and backrest. For greater comfort, a low footrest was placed next to it, made in a similar design.
The main accent of the living room is a luxurious wood-burning fireplace, next to which a second seating area was arranged. The portal of the hearth and the floor in front of it are lined with natural stone, decorated with spectacular gilded decor. Nearby, Tatyana Ustinova put a forged stand with accessories to keep the fire going. The writer placed small candles around the fireplace, creating a romantic setting.
Functional kitchen design
A corner set made of solid wood was installed in the spacious kitchen. The cabinet doors are decorated with classic panels. The natural stone countertop echoes the green tiles on the backsplash. A T-shaped hood with wings made of high-strength glass was fixed above the hob.
Lower cabinets and several upper modules with glass doors decorated with a linear layout were installed near the window. A small bar counter in the center serves as an additional work surface.
Local area design
The entire household plot is sown with lawn grass. The backyard has a cozy seating area with a canopy, a wooden table and high-backed wrought-iron chairs. A small barbecue was placed nearby, on which the spouses fry juicy kebabs all year round. A basketball hoop was fixed on one of the pines, into which the whole family loves to throw the ball.
Summary
A country mansion is a place for creativity. Tatyana Ustinova in her free time is happy to tinker with the household, but she is not yet drawn to greenhouses and garden beds. Nature gives the writer real inspiration. New detective masterpieces are born to the accompaniment of birdsong or the crackling of fire, when the noise from outside is not annoying.
