Meanwhile, it is this "trash" plastic that can become the basis for many wonderful homemade products that will be useful to you in the workshop equipment. Tool for grinding round parts

A very simple idea, which for some reason has not yet occurred to anyone. How easy is it to sand round parts or thin edges of wood and plywood structures?

Remains of plastic after repair: everything is in business — To do this, you only need a small piece of plastic pipe left over after repairs in the bathroom or kitchen.

The pipe section must be divided exactly into two longitudinal halves and all edges must be cleaned so that there are no burrs

Cutting plastic is easy with the Dremel toothed bit. You can also use a knife, just be careful with a sharp edge

Take a strip of sandpaper and stick double-sided tape on it

Fix the sandpaper on the inside of the pipe half and cut off all the edges of the abrasive protruding beyond the plastic

Your sanding tool is ready, it fits comfortably in your hand, and you can use it to sand and grind metal studs with it.

The result will definitely please you, especially since you need to make a minimum of effort for this. This is exactly how you can peel off the thin edge of plywood or wood. And as soon as the sandpaper clogs, it is easy to change it on the same double-sided tape

Mobile drill organizer

When you need to work with drills, it is convenient to have nozzles of different diameters at hand. You can easily fix this problem.

For this, the remains of plastic panels will come in handy. Their structure is such that inside the honeycomb grooves

Cut a strip from the panel along the entire width, but on one side about 6 cm high, and on the other - 8 cm

You will need a wooden plank 5-6 cm wide. In it, you need to make several indentations using a countersink

Neodymium magnets need to be glued or screwed into these grooves. For gluing, use epoxy glue, and if you have ring-shaped magnets, then select the appropriate self-tapping screws

Now you need to connect a piece of panel and a strip with magnets. To do this, you can use all the same screws or two-component glue.

One edge of the honeycomb part should be filled with hot glue. Now nothing will fall out of the cells

As a result, you will have a convenient organizer for drills, you just need to arrange them in size: where the narrow edge is smaller, where the wide edge is large

Thanks to the built-in magnets, you can easily place the organizer on the edge of the metal body of the workbench

This mobile organizer will fit on a metal shelf, and even on the body of a stationary tool.

Waste plastic file box

There are always small parts and tools in the workshop that are easy to lose. Conveniently, if they are in signed boxes, but where can I get suitable sizes? I have one idea!

Use the leftover plastic cable trunking, find a piece that suits your purpose

You need to make caps on both sides of the cut. They are easy to make from a piece of wood.

To prevent the plugs from interfering with the cable duct cover from being closed, make bevels on them, as shown in the photo

Fixing the plugs is simple: drill the holes and fix them with self-tapping screws

All that remains is to sign the lid and place files, bolts or screws in a makeshift box. Now nothing gets lost on your desktop

Convenient tool holder from the leftover sill

Modern window sills are durable plastic with a honeycomb structure inside. They are strong and durable, you put them like this - and forever. And if you have a piece of such material, do not throw it away.

One piece or several - leave them for a useful DIY in the workshop

Calculate so that you get several pieces of the windowsill of different heights - from 6 to 15 cm

After cutting the parts, all protruding parts and burrs must be carefully cut off.

To glue the parts, use a two-component adhesive that works with hard plastic

While the glue hardens, fasten the structure with clamps for a strong and tight connection, then you can paint it

For the bottom of the organizer, select a piece of plywood or wood that is suitable in size and make a depression in it for the head of a long bolt

Pull the bolt through one of the organizer slots and tighten with the nut. Now the stand has a bottom

The result is a handy desktop organizer for a small tool. Drills, screwdrivers and other little things will fit here
