History of the choice of duplex apartments
After a long search, Alexander Peskov chose two small apartments of 60 m² in one of the Stalinist skyscrapers located on Barrikadnaya. For the artist, the area was important, for the money he gave for his own housing in the center of the capital, the actor could buy more spacious apartments on the outskirts.
The king of parodies often watched films of the middle of the last century and always admired old Moscow. He dreamed of one day living in one of these areas in a house fanned by antiquity. Subsequently, the actor did not regret at all about the decision to buy small but very functional apartments.
Redevelopment result and design ideas
Alexander Peskov decided to redevelop and combine the apartments by removing the load-bearing walls. As a result, the apartments have become much more spacious. They managed to equip with great comfort a living room-studio, a kitchen, two bedrooms, a study and a bathroom.
Choosing the design of his home, the actor took the Versace style and his house located in Miami as a basis. The famous fashion designer was guided by the famous saying: "I will decorate my house with flowers." It was this direction that Alexander Peskov liked.
Initially, there was no second floor in the apartments; the idea of its arrangement was prompted by the high ceiling height. Alexander decided to split one of the rooms, as a result, the area from 27 m² turned into 54 m². So, according to the artist, it has become much more convenient. The upper tier was equipped with study and put a large bed on which visiting friends can rest.
The renovation of the two-room apartments lasted exactly one year. The artist was lucky with the builders, who at first had to be controlled. Subsequently, Alexander completely trusted the professionals from the former Yugoslavia and did not regret it at all.
After each working day, the craftsmen cleaned up the garbage after themselves, bought building materials and sometimes gave valuable advice. Sometimes they even tired the artist with their meticulousness. One got the impression that they were doing repairs for themselves.
Unique bathroom
The most unusual place in the apartment is the bathroom, decorated in the spirit of ancient Roman baths with a lot of gold. When you get inside, you get the impression that the Acropolis has just been dug, with a thin brush they cleaned the materials from the earth, and everything that fills the interior today appeared before your eyes.
Alexander Peskov believes in horoscopes, according to one of which he lived in ancient Rome and worked as a blacksmith. Perhaps this is true, and that is why the artist is so in love with the Roman era that he decided to make massive fake columns of stone in the bathroom.
Several frescoes of the Roman era were made on the walls of the room, they depict military battles. The bathroom bowl is made of onyx and fits perfectly into the overall style of the interior.
The stylistics of a spacious living room studio
The spacious living room-studio is decorated with a huge chandelier brought from St. Petersburg. It was made according to an individual designer's sketch especially for this project. All the furniture is made of natural wood by Italian craftsmen according to precise dimensions so that the space does not look cluttered.
A tempered glass table has become the decoration of the room. Another unusual piece of furniture appeared in the living room - a kind of iconostasis in the Versace style. On the tabletop, the actor placed photos of close friends and celebrities: Alla Pugacheva, Elena Vaenga and other show business artists. The huge TV is the only modern piece of furniture in the living room. Surprisingly, all the elements fit perfectly into the interior.
The luxury of the Versace style manifests itself in everything: in velvet curtains, in imitation of lion's paws on the chest of drawers and table legs, in an unusual pattern on window sills and on the upholstery of furniture, even in dishes.
Decor elements
In general, the interior of the apartment of the king of parodies can be described as an abundance of gloss, chic and beauty. Gold, antique candelabra, paintings in baguette frames - every corner of the apartment seems to scream that a famous person lives here. This is the Versace style, which has a constant sense of luxury and celebration.
In the apartment of Alexander Peskov, there are many statues that he brought from touring tours. Friends, knowing about this hobby of the artist, often gave unique crafts, for example, a copy of a Greek ancient youth. Another actor's passion is painting. A self-portrait of the famous American artist Yuri Gorbachev was placed in the parodist's study.

Conclusion
Many advice on renovation and design was given to the actor by his director, an architect by training. During the construction period, more than 100 sketches were created and about 20 tons of construction waste were removed. The artist had to decide some of the approvals related to the refurbishment of the apartment on his own, as a result, he had an additional 27 m² of area. Today, the interior of the unique apartments resembles a house-museum, which contains a huge number of collectibles and paintings.
