Photo frame from old window frame

10 spectacular home decorations made from trash

An old frame with lots of sections is a great place to create a wall-mounted photo gallery of family shots. The peeling paint must be removed from the worn-out object with sandpaper or a scraper, the structure must be well vacuumed and cleaned again.

Treat wooden parts with a primer in two layers - let each dry. After that, the product is covered with paint. To prevent the glass from getting dirty, a protective paper tape is glued to it.

We cut a sheet of thick cardboard, which will become a solid base for photographs, to the size of the glass sections. If desired, the cardboard can be pasted over with colored paper or wrapped in cloth.

Now you can post photos and decorate the free field with thematic decor. For wedding pictures, flowers or hearts are suitable, for children - cartoon figures, for marine images - shells and pebbles.

Hanging holder for phone charging from a shampoo jar

If there is no free socket next to the table, but you urgently need to recharge the phone, then you can come up with a simple but effective device from an empty plastic container. A sturdy and flat shampoo bottle will do.

Better to choose a wide container. From it you need to cut out a semblance of a cover with a handle, for which the container is hung on the plug of the included charger. The edge of the cut plastic is leveled, and the small organizer itself is painted or decorated with decorative elements to your taste.

Ottoman made of plastic bottles

Furniture made from scrap materials is cheap and simple to perform. Novice craftsmen should practice making an uncomplicated item - an ottoman from plastic bottles.

Collect the product from the middle. The central bottle is covered with layers of such containers until the diameter of the future creation becomes equal to the planned one. It is convenient to use double-sided tape instead of glue. When the desired size is reached, the structure is wrapped in several strips of wide adhesive tape.

The surface is wrapped with foam rubber or padding polyester, inserting identical cardboard blanks into the ends, creating a regular cylindrical shape. The soft material is held securely in place and allowed to dry. The semi-finished product is ready. It remains only to put on the cover prepared in advance.

Table from an old suitcase

An old suitcase is a ready-made top for a practical coffee table. You just need to put the tabletop on four legs. If the material of the case is too soft, then it is reinforced with a sheet of plywood.

The decor of an original product using decoupage technique looks beautiful in the interior of the Provence style. The original furniture will resemble antique or vintage models.

If the object is not designed at all (it is advisable only to walk along the lid and sides with sandpaper), then it will suit adherents of a bohemian direction or constructivist design.

In any case, the item is very functional. You can hide newspapers, magazines, knitting needles, glasses and other necessary little things under its cover.

Chest of drawers in the hallway from the old door

It is very easy to turn a removed door into a solid chest of drawers. The old style door leaf is usually made of high quality wood. It is strong and durable, but its appearance needs to be slightly updated - cleaned, primed, painted.

You can build a structure like a rack from any wooden waste, nail a plasterboard back wall, hang it on furniture hinges one or two prepared doors, and then divide the interior space into sections with shelves of different heights.

To increase the efficiency of using a homemade wardrobe, it is worth installing shoe dividers and boxes for hats or accessories.

Door handles and additional decoration should correspond to the chosen style of the hallway, as well as the apartment as a whole.

Wine cork hot stand

Natural corks are suitable for this product. On the prepared plywood base, we place the parts according to the selected scheme. It turns out a semblance of a mosaic, which is formed in different ways. You can use whole elements, cut along or across. A simple but graceful pattern looks beautiful on a stand.

Apron from an old umbrella

If the knitting needles on the old umbrella are broken, then its fabric will still serve for the manufacture of new items, for example, a kitchen apron. The metal structure must be pulled out and the material ironed.

Draw a pattern after taking measurements. Transfer the pattern to the fabric, cut it out. The edges of the apron must be hemmed so that the material does not crumble. The belt and ties are made from the remains of an umbrella or from some kind of braid.

Sink from an old bike

An old bicycle can be used to decorate a bathroom sink. To do this, you need to remove the saddle and handlebars from the bike, and instead attach a wooden or stone base for the sink.

The siphon will hide behind the bike, like behind a decorative lattice. And the sink must be securely fixed to the wall. To prevent the structure from spreading, the wheels are firmly attached to the floor.

House for a pet out of a box and an old t-shirt

If the cat does not like purchased houses, then you can outwit her and make her a home yourself, using a box and an old T-shirt. We strengthen the seams of the box with tape. In one wall we make a round hole - a manhole for the animal.

We wrap the container with a T-shirt so that the neck coincides with the cat's door. Sew the hem of the shirt neatly or fix it with a stapler.

CD chandelier

A lot of computer disks have accumulated, but they are unexpectedly out of date. But bright circles can still be useful for making crafts. For example, a homemade lamp shade for a chandelier or a lamp shade for a table lamp will look original.

The discs can be fastened together or hung up separately. The ball-shaped model is assembled from individual elements using a stapler. The staples are gently pressed with pliers to secure the connection.

And the base of a ready-made lamp is easy to decorate with simply shiny pendants reminiscent of a mobile. The power of the lamp under such an unusual shade should not exceed 25 W - the material is quite fusible.
