Wooden pillars should be covered with a special paint to protect them from decay, and metal ones - from corrosion. The mesh, if it is not galvanized, must also be coated with anti-corrosion paint.
All posts must be equipped with a net fixing. It can be a thin pipe with a diameter of 20–25 mm, a profile, or a stretched string - a wire of 3 mm. The mount is created at the top of the posts and at the bottom of the ground. The net of the net is fixed at the top and bottom on each pole, and then on the string at several points.
The constructed fence performs the main function - it marks the boundaries of the site and protects it from accidental unauthorized intrusions. Now the second task arises - to protect the site from prying eyes.
Opaque fence
Summer residents have come up with many ways to make the mesh opaque. For this, special camouflage cover mats are available for sale. But the most popular way is to create a hedge - threading colored polyethylene ribbons, artificial needles through the net. You can install colored polycarbonate sheets close to the mesh.
Planting climbing plants along the fence, growing through the mesh cells, allows you to get a completely opaque beautiful fence. At the same time, one should take into account a small drawback of this method: the hedge is a seasonal fence. For her, you can use the following plants:
- conifers and thuja, which will grow over time and create a dense opaque wall;
- curly trellis roses grow slowly, but they bloom long and beautifully;
- if the soils are acidic, then you can plant a hydrangea, which has large flowers;
- girlish grapes in 3-4 years will create an absolutely opaque wall;
- clematis does not grow very quickly, but due to bright colors it creates an elegant look for the fence;
- ivy and hops grow in 3-4 years;
- morning glory or bindweed blooms until late autumn, etc.
A hedge as a fence requires patience. But the overgrown fence will bring a lot of pleasure to the owner by its appearance.
Amateurs with imagination, and even those who know how to work with their hands, can try to create patterns or pictures by weaving multi-colored ribbons.
