According to the Deputy Mayor, the renovated building was equipped with modern systems of water and electricity supply, heating, sewerage, ventilation, air conditioning and fire alarm systems. And the appearance of the pavilion has been completely transformed thanks to the modern architectural and artistic backlighting in the form of a strip with 249 lamps, which can be illuminated in two modes: everyday and festive.
“During the overhaul of the pavilion, all the necessary infrastructure was created to open the multimedia park of the Soyuzmultfilm studio. The interior decoration fully corresponds to the spirit of high technologies, which are planned to be used, "- said Deputy Mayor Pyotr Biryukov. It should be reminded that the building of the Seeds pavilion at VDNKh is an object of the historical and urban planning environment. It was built in 1978 by the Soviet architects Zoya Arzamasova and Tatiana Petrova with the participation of engineer Dmitry Zemtsov.
Over the years of operation, the three-story building fell into disrepair: the structures partially lost their strength, the plaster on the walls began to flake off, and the engineering systems worn out. In this regard, it was decided to carry out a major overhaul in the pavilion. In the course of the work, the façade with a total area of 1,450 square meters and the roof of the pavilion were completely repaired, and 400 "squares" of stained glass were replaced. Also, experts put in order the main entrance staircase and a large flower bed in the basement of the building, in which a spruce grows. Their destroyed reinforced concrete foundations were restored and re-faced with basalt.
