Demand for luxury housing has grown in Sochi during the pandemic

The closure of borders and, frankly, the lack of prospects for the development of international tourism in the near future prompted many Russians to explore their "native spaces". Sochi has become a real salvation for those who are used to having a rest at sea. More and more representatives of the middle class are ready to invest in the purchase of elite housing in Sochi.

Svetlana Nogaeva, General Director of Ferro-Estate Group of Companies, commercial partner for the sale of villas and apartments at Reef Residence:

- The pandemic and isolation have increased the desire of many to leave multimillion cities and move closer to the sea, to a place with good ecology and low population density, but without losing the quality of life. Today, for a luxurious life, you can go not only to Nice, but also to the Black Sea coast. Sochi is one of the few resort cities in Russia that can provide year-round not only a comfortable climate, well-developed infrastructure, but also a high level of service. All these factors influenced the change in consumer demand: if earlier residents of other megacities considered Sochi mainly for temporary residence, today - as a permanent place residence.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, developers of the Krasnodar Territory have recorded a record number of requests. Demand has doubled compared to the same period last year. But for now, this is most often a deferred demand, since real estate buyers want to personally see the object. But as soon as all restrictions are lifted, the pending transactions will grow into real ones.
