Culinary experiments - favorite pastime of many. Serves cuisines of different nations no one will refuse, only for preparation of some masterpieces and require special tools. For example, this samsa not cook without a tandoor - amforoobraznogo hearth. Such devices can be found in every household in the Caucasus, but in Russia - it is rather exotic. So we decided two sisters, Tatiana and Svetlana Garanina Krivakova build at his dacha this unusual object. How they did it - they will tell themselves this HouseChief page.

Hi all craftswomen! Here we come to share with you my little experience. As they say, hunting Forest captivity, but me and my sister very much like home samosas. So like that, we have decided to build in the courtyard garden tandoor, although, to be honest, the experience in the construction of our purely theoretical. It so happened that our husbands take time off with us on May Day celebrations on fishingAnd we decided to spend time with benefits.

Grounds for tandoor

Since we planned capital stationary structures, it was necessary solid basisThat would not crack or walked in seasonal shifting of the soil. We have chosen a suitable site for the construction and started.

Getting started - marking. We decided to prepare a penny size 1,5 ร— 1,5 mยฒ

Our concrete pad I dry out for two weeks. Probably it should have been longer, but it was too was eager to continue the work.

Stacking walls tandyra via template

At the outbreak of the Asian form such that the bottom - a wide base, and top it narrows. This form allows you to maintain the desired temperature for a long time for roasting meat and dough.

We have decided to lay down their tandoor refractory brick and assembled an idea how to give the correct form design.

To begin with, we have set our focus on the tarmac

Coating and burning template

walls of our code boiler completely dry out, we began to coating any of it. For this purpose, again used chamotte.

There was only one question: how to get our struts and wooden template of the finished structure. We took a very simple solution: to burn it all right in the tandoor.

Have thrown some more branches as firewood and burned

It must be admitted that our first experience in construction was far from ideal. Tandoor has turned too big, it is difficult to say why we have swung to the size. And, after a while, Obmazochnaya clay still cracked again, had to completely remove all the "coat" and smear the boiler again, but with a mixture of clay, cement and sand. The second time came out a lot better.

Now the holiday season is in full swing, and we started to use our tandyr. Previously, we burned it, experts write Haskalah bricks to the extent that not all burnt black. Men made us cover for the boiler. Samsa turns out great. We tried to make the cakes and baked ham. The plans to make the lattice barbecue and use design as brazier.

For those who have not yet obzavolsya such boiler - highly recommended to think about it.

Thank Tatiana and Svetlana for an interesting story, and detailed pictures of the process. Tandoor nomads invented another four thousand years ago, but today it is a simple and effective tool allowing you to prepare many wonderful dishes. Such stationary tandoor, how to build our readers, requires a lot of fuel, but there are more compact versions in which you can quickly cook small amounts of food. Previously only need to heat up the boiler to a high temperature via firewood or coal. Do not forget that you need to cook in the tandoor only when wearing protective gloves!

And in addition to this material, we offer a small video about how to make a tandoor in Tajikistan:
