Water heater - a real salvation for those apartments and houses that do not have regular access to hot water. How to choose the right equipment.
The different storage devices and flow
All water heaters are divided into two types - storage and flow. Both devices, regardless of modifications, solve a similar problem - the cold water is heated, working independently from the central hot water system.
When choosing equipment, decide the type of power supply: a gas or electricity? Gas systems are more economical, but they are relevant to the premises, where there is access to the main gas.

- low energy consumption (compared with flow models);

It is more compact devices, apparently representing an ergonomic box. No storage tank, the water is heated by passing through a special element. Water heaters flow type are well suited for apartments, occupying a minimum of space and with modern styling.
Benefits:
- regular access to hot water;
- fast heating, small size;
- easy to install, it takes a minimum of time.
Making a selection, specify the characteristics of the specific model. Consider equipment cons of different types, for example, flow models consume more electricity and water heaters take up much space.
A few tips to buyers of water heaters for home
Focus on the main technical characteristics of the equipment:
- volume of the boiler (observe the amount of water consumers, more family, the volumetric tank);
- power (5kW flow model to give about 2.5-3 liters per minute, 6-8 kW - 3-4 liters);
- the availability of additional options (they are easier to work with the device, but increase its value).
Choose equipment with user-friendly controls. Cheaper total cost to conventional water heaters handles models with touch or push-button control are much more expensive (but very comfortable).
If possible, buy devices with an electronic system that controls the operation of the heater by measuring the basic parameters: power, water temperature and so on.
Prefer well-known brands, shop at specialty stores.
