How to clean vinyl and non-woven wallpaper?

Everything is much simpler with vinyl and non-woven wallpaper. On the coating there is a special marking, which indicates the acceptable way of removing dirt. Before proceeding to cleaning the vinyl surfaces, be sure to pay attention to these recommendations:

  • one wavy line drawn inside the square indicates that it is permissible only to gently wipe a slightly damp rag, and without using any chemical agents;
  • two such lines indicate the possibility of a full washing, even with a small addition of soap;
  • 3 waves - these are strong and durable coatings that safely carry washing with any cleaning agents;
  • scallop icon indicates that such wallpaper can be cleaned with a vacuum cleaner and rubbed with brushes to remove any dirt.

The procedure for thorough cleaning of non-woven and PVC wallpaper is as follows:

  1. Turn on the vacuum cleaner at low power and walk over the entire surface of the decorative coating on the walls. This procedure is mandatory to avoid the appearance of unsightly divorces, especially in the case when a thick enough layer of dust was collected.
  2. Prepare a special solution in the basin on the basis of warm water, adding to it 1 cap of any detergent and 2-3 spoons of liquid powder. Remember, the means for washing the wallpaper you should get drunk.
  3. Wet the sponge in the prepared detergent solution, squeeze well and proceed to wipe the surface of the walls. Rub well, but at the same time carefully, so as not to damage the upper protective layer of pvc.
