How to clean paper wallpaper?

Paper wallpaper requires a very delicate approach. It is inadmissible to subject them to wet cleaning, therefore we will cope with all the spots only "dry".

Method 1

The most simple technology for removing dirt and dust from paper wallpapers:

1. Take a dry carpet brush or clean soft broom.
2. Walk gently all over the surface.

Important! Thus, you can remove the formed deposit of dust, particles of dry, easy-to-remove dirt and cobwebs. Carry out this procedure during regular spring cleaning and as needed.

Method 2

Another common problem is the appearance of fingerprints. Cope with it as follows:

1. Take a clerical eraser.
2. Gently rub in the right places.

Method 3

This is an option for removing grease stains from the surface:

1. Attach a sheet of white clean paper to the spot.
2. Smooth out a warm, not hot, iron.
3. Grease in heat must be absorbed into a sheet of paper.

Important! Please note that this method of dirt removal is suitable only for fresh traces. To remove the old traces will have to do a new repair or partially change the wallpaper.

Method 4

This option is an exception that applies only to paper-coated metal wallpapers. On their surface is usually applied a golden or silver aluminum foil, and therefore they are suitable for wet cleaning.

To remove dirt from such material, do the following:

2. Prepare a warm, not very saturated soap solution.
3. Wash surface with a soft sponge soaked in soapy water.
4. Wipe dry with a dry cloth and allow to dry further under normal conditions.

Important! Do not open the windows to ventilate the room after such a wet cleaning - under the influence of fresh air and a draft, the wallpaper may become unstuck.

How to clean a natural wallpaper?

With natural wallpaper, it is possible to remove dirt only by a dry method. To do this, there are special feather brushes for sale - they just brush the dust off the surface.

Important! Do not wash this material, as it has a protective dust-repellent layer that dissolves when exposed to moisture.

How to clean vinyl and non-woven wallpaper?

Everything is much simpler with vinyl and non-woven wallpaper. On the coating there is a special marking, which indicates the acceptable way of removing dirt. Before proceeding to cleaning the vinyl surfaces, be sure to pay attention to these recommendations:

• one wavy line drawn inside the square indicates that it is permissible only to gently wipe a slightly damp rag, and without using any chemical agents;
• two such lines indicate the possibility of a full washing, even with a small addition of soap;
• 3 waves - these are strong and durable coatings that safely carry washing with any cleaning agents;
• scallop icon indicates that such wallpaper can be cleaned with a vacuum cleaner and rubbed with brushes to remove any dirt.

The procedure for thorough cleaning of non-woven and PVC wallpaper is as follows:

1. Turn on the vacuum cleaner at low power and walk over the entire surface of the decorative coating on the walls. This procedure is mandatory to avoid the appearance of unsightly divorces, especially in the case when a thick enough layer of dust was collected.
2. Prepare a special solution in the basin on the basis of warm water, adding to it 1 cap of any detergent and 2-3 spoons of liquid powder. Remember, the means for washing the wallpaper you should get drunk.
3. Wet the sponge in the prepared detergent solution, squeeze well and proceed to wipe the surface of the walls. Rub well, but at the same time carefully, so as not to damage the upper protective layer of pvc.
4. Do not allow them to be plentiful, as any coatings have the property of withering.
5. Dry material in normal conditions without drafts and ventilation.

Than clean the wallpaper from difficult spots?

The usual layer of dust and easily removable dirt can not be removed easily. But to complex spots requires a slightly different approach - here without suitable means will not be able to do. 1. Oxygen powders and bleach based on chlorine will help quickly remove virtually any stains. The only condition - use them only on light materials without patterns.

To properly apply them, prepare a light solution, soak the cotton wool or sponge in it and gently wipe the stained place until the stain completely disappears. Talc is used in dry form, and the mixture of starch must dry directly on the spot on the wallpaper.
4. Melamine sponge is an excellent modern solution for removing stains of different nature. The way it is applied is extremely simple - enough to rub the dry surface of the wallpaper before removing the dirt.
