• type of the paint itself;

Gouache and watercolor

If your clothes are left contaminated with gouache and watercolor paints, then you can remove them quite simply, as they easily dissolve in water. To clean this type of paint from clothes, proceed as follows:

1. Rinse the spoiled area under a stream of cold water or soak in water, adding a little detergent.
2. Wash the product with detergent.

Oil paint

If the stain is left with an oil solution for art, then the solution to the problem than cleaning the paint from the clothes will be somewhat different. You can use such tools:

• acetone;
• turpentine;
• refined gasoline;
• kerosene;
• white spirit;
• alcohol.

The way of using all these tools is the same: apply a little wool on the usual cotton wool and gently wipe the area, removing excess paint.

Additional conditions:

1. Acetone is not suitable for leather products, as well as synthetic and delicate fabrics.
2. When using refined gasoline: first wet the problem area with the product, and then treat it with ammonia.
3. Ammonia can change the color of the product.
4. If the oil paint is left on clothes made of wool and cashmere, then alcohol, petrol, or acetone will not work for cleaning. In such cases it is necessary to put on the "trouble" the usual sunflower oil and remove excess paint with cotton.

Important! Perfectly dissolves oil contamination kerosene paired with baking soda. In turn, wipe these means of pollution, then wash the area in hot water with the use of laundry soap. Kerosene can be replaced with turpentine.

Latex and acrylic paints

For products of natural silk, we recommend the following sequence:

1. Problem place with household soap.
2. Denatured alcohol is heated in a water bath.
3. Wet a sponge in alcohol and wipe it with a soapy place( continue the process until the paint disappears completely from the clothes).
4. Cotton wool soaked in warm water, remove residues of soiling and soap.
5. Dry thoroughly with a tissue.
6. Sprinkle with talcum powder.

Woolen cloth should be cleaned in this way:

2. Immerse the treated area in very hot water for a few seconds.
3. Repeat the procedure until the stain completely dissolves in water.
4. Wash clothing in the usual way.

Aniline paints

To get rid of aniline paint, you will need the following tools:

• potassium permanganate;
• oxalic acid( 2% solution);
• is denatured alcohol.

Instructions for use to wipe off the paint:

1. Prepare a 10% solution of potassium permanganate: 1 g potassium permanganate dissolved in 100 ml of warm water.
2. Prepare a solution of oxalic acid by dissolving 2 g of the substance in 100 ml of warm water.
3. Soak contamination with denatured alcohol.
4. Apply a solution of potassium permanganate and leave for a few minutes.
5. Moisten the soiled area with a solution of oxalic acid.
6. Wash the product in warm water.

Silicate paint

Silicate solutions are easily removed with vinegar:

1. Treat contamination with a toothbrush soaked in table vinegar.
2. Wash contaminated area in warm water using household soap.
3. Rinse the treated material.

How to remove the paint from clothes if the stain is withered?

If you missed the moment and the color is absorbed into the fabric structure, then you will need to apply much more effort, and the result may be far from desired.

The principle of your actions to wipe the paint under this situation is as follows:

1. First of all, with a sharp object( knife or razor), remove the dried crust of the substance so as not to damage the structure of the fabric.
2. Moisten cotton swab means, depending on the fabric: it can be alcohol, gasoline, oil or other agent( see above).
3. Apply the prepared preparation for soiling and leave it for a while( the paint should dissolve).
4. Remove excess with cotton swab or sponge.

Important! Since the procedure for removing paint can be prolonged, change the cotton frequently. Do not rub the paint into the fabric, but remove it.

1. Treat the place where there was a stain with a strong soda solution.
2. Rinse the thing well in warm running water.
3. Wash clothing in the usual way.
4. Dry the product in the open air so that the smell of the product disappears.

Important! The means used to remove stains are flammable( exception - sunflower oil), so do not use them near open flames and protect from children. When working, observe the safety precautions: protect the skin and eyes, and ventilate the room well.

• Remove any stains on white clothes with aviation gasoline and white clay. Mix them in equal proportions, and apply the porridge to the contaminated area of ​​clothing. Leave the product for 2-3 hours, then remove the powder with a clothes brush.
