Sometimes an accidental underscore on an important document makes us nervous or it becomes necessary to delete the entry in the margins of the book. How to remove ink from paper? It is only necessary to follow the rules exactly, showing maximum care and caution in working with paper.
How to remove ink with chemical solutions?
- The most common remedy is the composition of vinegar and manganese. Only 1 teaspoon of 70% concentrated vinegar is needed, in which a small amount of potassium permanganate crystals is dissolved - at the tip of the knife. With this mixture, carefully remove traces from the handle with a thin brush for watercolor paints, placing a clean paper under the sheet to be processed.
Manganese can lightly color the paper in a brownish or faint purple color. In this case, you should wait until the paper has dried, and remove the brown stains with the usual 3% hydrogen peroxide. By the way, hydrogen peroxide can also cope with the unwanted ink line independently, if it is not very bright. Working tools here will serve as cotton balls or cotton swabs. Hydrogen peroxide can be replaced with a solution of hydroperite: two tablets are dissolved in 100 ml of water at room temperature. If the marks from the pen do not disappear completely, you will have to repeat all the actions.
- Second composition: 10 g of oxalic acid, combined with 10 g of citric acid, dissolve in half a glass of water. You can try the lemon juice.
- Another version of the "cocktail", helping to remove ink: 10 g of hydrochloric acid is combined with 10 g of table salt and 30 ml of water.
We will mention in addition several effective chemical substances that are capable of removing traces of the handle.
- Acetone, which comes in almost all liquid formulations for removing nail polish. But in its pure form it is a rather aggressive liquid, which can damage the paper.
- Mixture of glycerol and ethyl alcohol taken in equal parts.
- Bleach called "Whiteness"( this is a 70-80% solution of active chlorine) is also a pretty strong product, which requires very careful and careful handling.
Advice
Do not allow strong friction to not spoil the surface of the paper. Some products( acetone, hydrochloric acid) are best used only for thick, thick paper.
In any case, before proceeding to get rid of the trace of the pen, try out the composition you prepared on a paper sheet of similar quality. Do not spread the composition over the paper, clean the brush, change the cotton buds.
We use simple home remedies
Take baking soda and salt in equal proportions and pour a thin thin layer on clean paper. From above put the sheet down with the inscription to be deleted. Press down glass with a drilled hole, through which we inject by means of a syringe citric acid - very slowly, gradually. The acid will dissolve the ink, and the salt and soda will serve as an absorbent.
How to eliminate color ink?
To remove colored( red, green, purple) inks, prepare a saturated solution of potassium permanganate. In 50 ml of distilled water at a temperature of no higher than 30 degrees, gradually dissolve from 3 to 10 g of potassium permanganate. Then it is combined with 50 ml of acetic acid, cooled to 0 degrees. Only freshly prepared solution is active.
Advice
Paper is usually warped when it dries. The sheet will not look deformed if you put it under a press( for example, under heavy books), pre-laying with clean sheets of paper. Or skip over the fax rollers. Option: Covering with a thin clean sheet, iron with a warm( not hot) iron.
How to remove ink: erase or clean?
To remove a small fragment of the record, the most common eraser and razor blade will help. It requires, of course, a trained hand, as there is a risk of damage to paper. And still it is worth trying, because with this method the structure of the sheet should not be disturbed, only the upper layer is gently removed.
The ink mark of the handle should first be scratched with a razor blade, and then erased - hold several times with the eraser pressed. The surface of the paper will be slightly disheveled, which means that it must be pressed or sanded with the same blade.
You can try to erase the inscription with your finger, moistened in water, gradually rolling up the top layer of paper.
How to disguise an unnecessary entry?
Finally, there is such a tool as a corrective fluid, but it will only work if the inscription made by the pen is not very noticeable. In this case, the quality of the white putty is important: it must be fresh, not thickened, but also not transparent. Apply it on paper with a thin layer, dry it. Perhaps, it is necessary to put putty repeatedly and again to dry. The ideal option is obtained if you apply a fresh record over the corrective strip.
