For carrying out small home repairs, almost every person at least once in his life used the glue "Moment", "Secunda" and similar means based on cyancrialate. This wonderful superglue can be used in almost any environment and glue them anything from shoe to technical details.
The main advantages of such adhesives are that they quickly set and adhere well to the surface. But in the event of a drop of superglue falling on the skin of hands or clothes, dignity becomes a disadvantage. Not always at hand are rubber gloves that protect the skin of hands from hitting them with superglue. How to wipe the "Moment" from your hands and remove the dried glue from your fingers? There are several ways for this.
Special tools
In construction and hardware stores a special agent for dissolving superglue is sold. These are so-called washings, usually they are called the "Antikley" manufacturer. The most common of these are the "Antikley Super Point" of the German company Henkel, the Swiss glue remover "Secunda", "Sila" from the Chinese manufacturer and "Contact".They produce these drugs in small tubes, but they cost about 50-70 rubles. With this tool, it is easy to remove superglue from the skin of hands, clothes, household items.
It is very easy to use anti-glue. The composition is applied to the glue stain, aged for about an hour( see the instruction), then rinse with warm water and soap. Chemicals that form part of the solvent corrode the cyanoacrylate, on the basis of which "Moment" and other similar adhesives are made. To remove traces from the fingers, anti-glue is applied for a shorter time - after all, such chemistry is harmful to the skin. Once the glue begins to change its structure, it is recommended to wipe off its residues with a sponge, using soapy water.
Mechanical scraping
A sufficiently effective, but hard way to remove stains from the skin - wipe off the dried "Moment" with abrasive tools. For these purposes, you can use sandpaper, pumice stone or a nail file.
The method is effective if a thick enough layer of glue has remained on the skin. Then it is carefully cleaned using one of the above tools, trying not to touch open skin at the same time. The remnants of the superglue are washed off with soap and water.
Advice
To get rid of frozen adhesive, follow as soon as possible. The more time passes, the stronger the composition grasps and penetrates deeper into the skin.
Chemicals
In addition to industrial washings, other chemicals can be used. Of course, their effectiveness will be much lower than that of special means, but in the absence of those, everything that is at hand in the house is useful.
- To wipe the superglue from the skin of your hands, acetone or the nail polish remover that it is included in will help. Apply the solution on a cotton swab or a piece of cotton cloth and rub it on the stain. To wash in this way superglue, it will take some time. Acetone penetrates into the cracks of the adhesive composition and exfoliates the dried "Moment".
- In addition to acetone, you can use other solvents - gasoline or "White Spirit".
- After acetone, it is necessary to wash off the exfoliated adhesive under a stream of water, then again soak the stain with a solvent - and so several times.
- Those who have delicate skin on their hands, it is better to use ordinary table salt. Before this, the hands are soaked in warm water, then a little salt is poured onto the glue. It is rubbed into the spot of the "Moment" for several minutes, with a white foam being formed. It must be washed off with running water. If necessary, repeat the procedure.
- Instead of salt to wash the superglue from your fingers, you can use a female cosmetic skin scrub or vegetable oil.
- Lowers the strength of the adhesive drug "Dimexide".This antiseptic solution, it is released in ampoules or vials. It is worth a penny."Dimexid" is applied to a cotton pad and applied to the spots of the "Moment" for several minutes, after which it is necessary to wash the product with water.
Do not forget that most of the above chemicals have a sharp unpleasant odor, so conduct all manipulations in non-residential rooms, or even better - outdoors.
We wash the glue with water
A small amount of superglue that gets on the skin is best washed off immediately with warm water and soap. It can be a soapy solution or a hand bath with a dishwashing liquid. Hold the fingers in it for a few minutes, then start wiping the "Moment" with a stiff sponge. Repeat the washing procedure several times a day.
If it did not work out to clean the super glue completely, do not get discouraged. A few days later, the stain will disappear on its own - the glue will disappear along with the dying epidermis( the upper layer of the skin, constantly updated naturally).
After all the "executions" take care of your hands. Lubricate the skin with a moisturizing or greasy nourishing hand cream. If there is not one in your home, apply vegetable oil on problem areas for 20-30 minutes.
Remove superglue from the skin - the task is not easy. Therefore, do not neglect such a simple means of protection as rubber or polyethylene gloves. Especially in case of successful application of glue they can be re-used.
