Thermos is an indispensable thing in every household. It brews tea and coffee, take with them on the road and work, make tinctures of herbs and fragrant mixtures. The basic remedy for removing the smell from any cookware( and the thermos - especially) is lemon juice. This is a wonderful cleaning substance, which, moreover, gives the dish a nice light scent after cleaning. To get rid of the smell, just add half a lemon juice to the vessel, pour it with boiling water and leave for 30 minutes. After the time has elapsed, the water must be drained, rinsed with warm water and allowed to dry. The lid must be open at the same time. If the thermos must be used immediately, it is not necessary to wait for the complete drying, it is enough to wipe the thermos body outside with a soft rag.
To clean the dishes, the acid is suitable. Vinegar or citric acid are rather caustic cleaners, so with their help you can get rid of the smell in a few minutes. One liter of water is enough to use 1 tablespoon of vinegar or a teaspoon of citric acid. The solution should be poured into a flask, tightened and shaken vigorously for 2-3 minutes. After that, rinse the thermos with warm water several times.
Remove the smell with baking soda. Its action time is longer than lemon juice. For cleaning it is recommended to pour hot water into the thermos, add 2 teaspoons of soda, spin and shake well. Dishes with a mixture inside it is best to leave for several hours( preferably at night).The same effect will have a strong solution of the kitchen salt in hot water, which is also left overnight. After the action time has expired, the flask must be rinsed with warm water.

- It is recommended to store the dishes strictly in the open state or, preventing dust from entering, at least with a slightly open lid. Air coming in, will not form a stagnant smell, and the flask will be rinsed with warm water before the next use.
The qualitative thermos can be used for various kinds of drinks;to clean it, it is sufficient to wash it with water and detergent. However, liquids with sharp odors can affect the quality of other beverages, so if possible, it is better for them to get a separate dish.
