It is difficult to underestimate the benefits of industrial climate devices designed to increase the humidity level in a residential area. Unfortunately, just to buy the device and enjoy the benefits of civilization will not work, you will at least get acquainted with the techniques how to clean the humidifier from the lime scale.

Refusal to carry out preventive and restorative manipulations is fraught with serious problems, the least of which will be a decrease in the productivity of the device. Of course, you can turn to a professional who will do everything right and quickly, but in this case you will have to lay out at least a third of the amount already paid for household appliances.

Causes and consequences of contamination of climate technology

Today, the market of household appliances is full of humidifiers of all kinds. The type of their work affects not only the state of air and its physical performance, but also causes the development of specific problems:

1. Steam installation. In the process of generating steam that mixes with air, active salt molecules are separated from particles suspended in the atmosphere. They settle on internal walls and elements of the device, provoking the formation of scale. As the lime layer is compacted, the thermal conductivity of the device decreases, which affects the quality of its work. After some time, the device is out of order.

How to properly clean the humidifier or the air scum?

Elimination of dirt, scale or scurf can vary depending on the humidifier model, but the basic recommendations are the same everywhere:

• First, the device must be de-energized, disconnected from the liquid and disassembled as far as possible.
• The main container is washed in warm water with a soft cloth. Standard means of household chemicals in this case are not applied, tk.their residues are very difficult to wash, and they will start to get into the air when the device is connected.
• If this effect does not give the desired result, you will have to use specialized products recommended by the manufacturers of moisturizers themselves. In extreme cases, the use of citric acid or soda, but no aggressive pastes and abrasives with large particles.

How to properly disinfect the device?

The required result is achieved by performing one of the following:

• Cleaning with bleach. We fill the working capacity with cool water, add a teaspoon of chlorine bleach to it and leave it for about an hour. After this, we pour out the composition and thoroughly wash all the elements with which the product has come into contact. If the humidifier is characterized by impressive dimensions, it is recommended to increase the aging time for half an hour, the concentration of the product does not change.
• Peroxide cleaning. Fill all internal elements of the device with 3% peroxide. Do not need to add water, such an impact will be enough. After an hour, the liquid is rinsed, the container is thoroughly rinsed.
• Cleaning with vinegar. The procedure is carried out only in the fresh air. In the tank of the device, pour in a glass of vinegar and add water to the standard level. We start the unit in the standard mode and keep it for at least an hour. After this time, the liquid is washed off, and the product is washed with a large amount of water.

Operation of the air humidifier will not cause unpleasant moments if at least once a week it is subjected to its complex cleaning.
