Making a vase of napkins

As a gift, you can safely hand a vase of napkins yourself - this piece of furniture can always fit harmoniously into the room.

To proceed to the manufacture of such a vase-candy bar, you must stock up on everything you need:

• Lace napkin.
• Starch paste.
• Three-liter jar or bowl.

In order to make a vase of napkins with your own hands, you must adhere to this algorithm:

• Wrap the prepared capacity food film.
• Prepare starch paste. To do this, mix 2 tablespoons of starch in cold water, then pour this liquid into a glass of very hot water and mix.

Important! If the composition is very thick, dilute it with water.

• Place the napkin in the cooled starch, then remove and wring out the excess.
• Place the napkin on an inverted bowl and wait for it to dry.

Method 1

For subsequent work, please store the following materials:

• Smooth glass vase for flowers.
• Napkins with a beautiful ornament.
• Sharp scissors.

Important! The word "sharp" here is very important, since napkins are a very thin and capricious material. When manipulating it using blunt scissors, it can tear and spoil the entire appearance.

• Acrylic paints.
• Decoupling glue or PVA adhesive.
• Brushes of different sizes.

Below is a detailed algorithm for how to decorate a vase with napkins:

• Prepare a vase - remove dirt, degrease it, wipe it with acetone or a liquid with which to wash the glass.
• Cover the base with white acrylic paint. Those places where the ornament will be located, cover with a thicker paint.

Important! Pay special attention to the top and bottom of the vase.

• Dry the vase, leaving it in this position for about 4 hours.
• Carefully cut out the ornament from the napkin.

• Smooth glass vase.
• Decoupage primer.
• Acrylic paint.

• Adhesive for decoupage or PVA.

Decoration process:

• Clean from dirt and degrease the vase.
• Mix the decoupage primer with acrylic paint( the color can be chosen independently) in a separate container.

Important! If the mixture is too thick, you can add a little water, otherwise - decoupage vases of napkins with their own hands in the end will not be as beautiful as expected.

• Cut a small slice from a normal dishwashing sponge, soak it in a colored primer, then apply the mixture very lightly to the bowl with very light pressing movements.
• Wait until the soil dries. It will take several hours

• Get rid of the lower layers, leaving only the topmost.

• Gently lift the file, attach a wet napkin to the vase. The napkin must adhere to the container.

Important! Do not be afraid to correct the drawing with your fingers if necessary.

• Wait until the paper pattern dries slightly.
• Go through the ornament with a brush, moistened with a solution of PVA glue with water. Direction - from the center to the edges.
• The edges can be painted with the same color as the vase was painted with a primer. So the transition will be the most smooth.
• Dry the container thoroughly, then coat it with three coats of lacquer.

Egg decoupage

To decorate the vase in your own hands in a completely new way, you will need the following materials:

• Glass vase.
• Eggshell without film.
• Adhesive.
• Wide, flat brush.
• Decoupage napkin.
• Toothpick.
• Light, brown acrylic paint.
• Lacquer.

The decoration process is very painstaking:

1. Smooth the white egg shell with your fingers.
2. Apply glue to the entire surface of the bottle, except for the bottom.
3. Glue the shell on the bottle, pressing it down a little, using a toothpick with a moistened tip. So you need to cover the entire bottle.
4. After complete drying of the product, cover it with white acrylic paint.
5. Choose the right tone of brown paint and decorate the vase with your own hands, having wetted the composition with a sponge and applying the dye to the vessel.
6. Wipe the vessel with a rag after each layer of brown paint - this is necessary in order to give the surface more relief.

Decoupage of the outdoor vase
