Explanations to the table:
Functions
The mini oven performs the same functions as a gas oven. In addition, it provides additional options: a toaster and a grill. They are also found in many models of electric ovens.
Externally, it looks like a microwave oven. But on this their similarities end. The principle of their work is completely different.
Size
The main feature of the mini-oven is its small dimensions. This gives it a number of advantages:
- it can be placed in a small kitchen;
- mini oven is easier to transport. If necessary, it can, for example, be taken to a dacha.
There is also a disadvantage:
- if the family is large, then the volume of a mini oven may not be enough to cook a large dish in one run.
Set and hold temperature
Because of the small dimensions, the mini oven quickly collects temperature and can hold it longer. This means:
- the cooking process is accelerating;
- electricity is consumed more economically.
Gas source
A mini oven and a conventional electric oven work from electricity. They can be operated in non-gasified homes.
Heating element
In gas ovens the heat source is located at the bottom. Then the air warms up and starts to circulate.
There are two heating elements in a mini oven and electric oven. One is on the bottom and the other is on top. There are different cooking modes. For example, for more delicate dishes, it may be necessary to disconnect the upper heating element. But it will be indispensable for creating an appetizing crust in other dishes.
Timer
In conventional gas ovens the timer is usually not available.
A timer in mini ovens and electric ovens saves you time. However, throwing food unattended for a long time - is not recommended.
Summing up
The mini oven is more functional than a gas oven. You get extra functions: a toaster and a grill. But it does not differ from the electric oven in functionality.
First of all, the mini oven from the oven differs in size. It is compact. Thanks to this:
- it will fit in a small kitchen;
- it can be transported;
- it is more economical and faster to prepare, because the air in it is faster warming up and longer cools down.
