The problem with uneven heating of the batteries is now faced by many. And the colder it is outside, the more acute this issue will be, because the comfortable temperature in the apartment and house will depend on how the radiators heat up. Got air
This is the most common cause of uneven heating of radiators. An air plug has entered the heating system, and it is this that prevents the normal movement of the coolant.
In modern radiators there is a so-called Mayevsky crane. This is a valve for bleeding excess air. Just a couple of minutes - and the problem is solved.
Well, if you still have Soviet-style batteries, then you can’t do without the help of public utilities - you have to drive the cork through the entire riser.
In private homes, the problem is solved by pumping coolant through the drain cock at the bottom of the system. Back pressure will force the plug out.
Foreign body in the system
The cause of uneven heating of the radiator may be sediment or a foreign body that has clogged the system. Scale inside old batteries under pressure can separate and clog narrow coolant ducts.
In the end, debris can enter the system from the outside, if the system is not centralized, but receives replenishment from open hydraulic tanks.
Dirt can accumulate in any place that is difficult for the coolant to pass through, and usually these are radiators. There are two working ways to clean up junk from batteries. The first is a simple mechanical cleaning, in which the battery is turned off, the water is drained from it, and tapped with a rubber mallet to separate debris. After this procedure, the radiator is washed with a good pressure of water and put in place.
The second option is the use of cleaning compounds. It can be any remedy for blockages. It is poured with hot water and left in a disconnected battery for half an hour, after which it is washed.
Failure in the locking system
On modern batteries, ball valves with thermal heads are installed to adjust the heating. They can also cause uneven heating.
Low system pressure
The temperature difference between the top and bottom of the radiator may be due to insufficient pressure in the system. This often affects old-style apartment buildings. The batteries there are cast iron, with passages half-overgrown with scale.
A drop in pressure can occur if your neighbors have unauthorizedly increased the number of their batteries or adjusted them so that the equipment simply does not do its job.
Solving this problem alone will not work. You need to contact the management company and bring to them not only your problems, but also assumptions about the reasons. There is no time for friendship with neighbors - your own shirt, as they say, is closer to the body.
In addition to the above reasons, you may encounter a trite incorrect installation of the entire system - usually such problems are detected immediately after startup.
