Some disadvantages of microwave

When buying a microwave oven of a particular model, we rely on the manufacturer's warranties and explanations of the seller. But it's good to know in advance about the inconvenience of using this type of household appliances.

  • The main drawback of the microwave oven is the increased background of electromagnetic radiation. But it is known that the propagation of radiation beyond the microwave housing arises only after many years of operation.
  • Another disadvantage is the unusual taste of dishes, different from those cooked on a conventional stove or in the oven.
  • Microwave is uneconomical in terms of electricity consumption. To ensure that the meat and potatoes are sufficiently fried, the grill capacity of at least 1000 W is required.
  • Microwave oven limits the number of familiar recipes. It can not be fried with the use of a large amount of oil, it is impossible to boil eggs and cook large pies with stuffing.
  • The microwave oven should not be switched on in idle mode or when it is necessary to heat something very small.

Objectively weighing the pros and cons of the microwave, you can observe a clear shift of the arrow of the balance in the positive direction. Despite some inconveniences, the use of microwave ovens for fast cooking has been found to be appropriate for many experienced cooks.
