🍭 Christmas magic: from ordinary candies to magic lantern

The pre-New Year's bustle also includes such an important moment as the preparation of gifts. For family and friends, we are preparing something special, but there are other presents - for colleagues and friends. I would not like to be limited to something trivial, for example, a box of chocolates. But you will be surprised that if you work a little on the same candy packaging, you can turn it into an unusual and very attractive gift. We found an example of such a magical transformation on the YouTube channel “Anna Kokhan workshop». You can repeat this experience yourself without resorting to spells.

What you need to work: from tools to materials

If you decide to make such an unusual present, then pick up a box of chocolates of an unusual shape for a start. A good option is Vdohnovenie sweets, but you can also use similar flashlight boxes from Rafaello or other sweets.

In addition to sweets, you will need thick cardboard, corrugated paper, Christmas decorations, a piece of thick wire about 70 cm long and a beautiful braid.

Of the tools, scissors and a glue gun will come in handy.

From an ordinary box to a magic flashlight

So, all the materials are ready, the tools are at hand - and you can get to work. An important condition is excellent mood and inspiration, not only in candy form.

This box with sweets will be the basis. When choosing paper and toys for decoration, pay attention to the color scheme of the candy packaging, this will help you create a stylish composition

You need to prepare a round cardboard box for the base. Just make two circles with a diameter of about 16 cm and glue them together with a strip of the same cardboard. Alternatively, use a piece of foam cut in a circle

Cover this box-base with corrugated paper on all sides. Use hot glue to secure. Try to hide all the joints so that they are not visible

Corrugated paper stretches a little, so that it perfectly hides all irregularities, and besides, it is thin and easy to stick without forming thick seams.

Use braid to decorate the candy box. Secure it to the edges of the package with a few drops of glue. It is easy to find the edges of the flashlight boxes, and if you are using something else, then simply apply the principle of packaging straps.

On the top of the box, make a small loop from the same tape. A flashlight will be suspended from it. The loop should not be too long

The base for the gift needs to be decorated. Use braid and tinsel, Christmas tree beads on the side. All of this is attached with hot glue. You can use beads or rhinestones, pictures from New Year's cards

The wire for the structure must be rigid enough to hold well not only the shape, but also the weight of the box of chocolates. Wrap the wire with corrugated paper, securing it with hot glue

Wrap the wire so it looks like a large candy cane. And the box of chocolates will be hung on the tip of a wrapped hook.

The wire will be fixed in the center of the base box. To do this, you need to make a hole in it. It should not be too large so that the wire fits snugly into place and is fixed at the base.

Decorate the base with Christmas tree decorations. Use cones and balls, pieces of spruce branches, and other natural materials

The hook wire can also be decorated. To do this, use braid. If you take a red or blue ribbon, it will look even more like a lollipop. Wrap the hook in a spiral with it

Place the hook in the base and additionally secure it with hot glue. In principle, the design is ready

Now this is not just a box of chocolates - this is a New Year's installation, which will be so sorry to destroy. So you can be sure: your gift will be opened last and will be carefully stored until Christmas.

By the way, you can use not only sweets. A jar of coffee or a beautiful tin box with fragrant tea will look good in this design.

The theme of candy design is almost inexhaustible. You can make a pineapple out of them to pair with a bottle of champagne, or a candy cake.
