Many fans of Natalia Selezneva remember her for her role as Lidochka in Gaidai's film Operation Y and Shurik's Other Adventures. The cheerful and charming actress is rather conservative in life. More than 25 years ago, the couple received a three-room apartment in the very center of Moscow - on Tverskaya Street in house number 9. High ceilings were a big plus of the apartments - a characteristic feature of the Stalinists. Natalya Selezneva once admitted that this area of Moscow used to be quieter, but recently, with the influx of tourists, it has become too noisy here.
In the spacious apartment, the couple initially combined the living room with the hall, and also furnished the bedroom, study and kitchen with great comfort. The interior was decorated in a traditional classical style, close to the Empire style. For finishing apartments used mainly natural materials. Laid on the floor with a French Christmas tree oak parquet, for the walls we chose wallpaper with a soft striped print.
Elegant living room
For many years Natalya Selezneva dreamed of buying real antique furniture made of Karelian birch for the living room. The actress looked at a unique set that conquered with unsurpassed beauty and uniqueness of the pattern. In addition, the solid wood is considered one of the strongest and most durable and is perfect for classic interiors. The furniture has only one drawback - the high price, so Natalia Selezneva had to raise money for over a year.
An antique sofa with high legs, decorated with striped silk upholstery with gold threads, was placed in the recreation area. The classic chairs for the dining group were matched to the tone. The design of the living room was complemented by a luxurious round table on a massive central leg and a high shelving. Collectible tea and coffee sets are placed on its glass shelves.
The walls of the living room and corridor are decorated with paintings by Russian artists and memorable family photos in strict frames. Modern oval mirror in silver, opposite the dining table, elegantly blended into the classic interior. The space is illuminated by an antique chandelier from the times of Alexander III, which Natalya Selezneva found in one of the capital's pawnshops.

In one of the rooms, Natalya Selezneva set up a study. In the past, it was here that the whole family gathered and arranged evening readings of their favorite works. High solid wood cabinets were installed along the walls, on the shelves of which there is a huge collection of books. Comfortable armchairs made of Karelian birch fit perfectly into the classic interior of the library.

In the bedroom, a combined finish was used for the walls: two the walls were painted in a light peach color, the rest of the surfaces were pasted over with wallpaper in a vertical strip. An antique bureau table made of Karelian birch was placed opposite the bed. On its top shelf, the actress placed jugs made of the finest metal, decorated in an oriental style.
Country house-dacha of the actress
Soon after the birth of their son, the famous spouses were allocated a plot of land in the dacha cooperative "Soviet Writer". The village is located in a wonderful place surrounded by a relict forest, just fifty kilometers from the capital along the Kaluga highway. The couple were so imbued with the atmosphere of a lovely corner that they decided to build a solid house here, suitable for living throughout the year.
Difficulties in building a cozy nest
Great people became neighbors of the star couple. Here Yuri Trifonov built his wooden house, and the writer Konstantin Simonov also lived and worked nearby. When choosing a project, the couple tried to fit the cottage into the surrounding nature as much as possible. Natalya Selezneva enthusiastically set about building, buying materials, looking for workers and supervising all processes. Vladimir Andreev got the most important role - the financing of the project.
Buying building materials in the seventies of the last century was not easy. It's good that there were always faithful friends nearby. Someone helped to get bricks, someone - window frames and doors. A longtime friend of the family, Vyacheslav Nevinny, provided great support. As a result, after a couple of years, the couple finally moved to their cozy nest.
Traditional interior decoration
Natalia Selezneva's two-storey house is built of red brick. For interior decoration, lining was used. On the ground floor, by tradition, a kitchen, a dining room and a living room with a real wood burning fireplace. A solid staircase made of natural wood leads to the second floor. Several bedrooms have been equipped here; some of the rooms have access to a spacious terrace.
The interior of the house is decorated quite simply, without luxury and pretentious delights, but nevertheless it is comfortable and very soulful. For the arrangement of the rooms, the actress chose mainly natural wood furniture; there are also several antiques in the furnishings. Over time, the spacious veranda was insulated, built in water radiators, replaced the old windows with modern double-glazed windows and made a cozy room for home gatherings.
Summary
Natalya Selezneva once admitted that no one planted anything on purpose at the dacha. The backyard area is mainly occupied by lawn grass. For rest, we installed several unusual benches on the site with intricate legs. At one time they stood on Tverskoy Boulevard and after dismantling they were simply thrown away. The actress could not walk by and took them to the dacha. After a small restoration, the benches have become a real decoration of the territory.
