Spacious apartment in the historical center of Moscow
The producer's apartment is located in the historical center of Moscow in Merzlyakovsky lane. Spacious apartments with an area of 220 m2 are located in an old house built in 1900 not far from the Aleksandrovsky Sad metro station. After the fire, it took several years to restore the housing, the result of the repair is striking in its magnificence and extraordinary approach.
Bari Alibasov held a project competition and chose designer Elena Krylova from thirteen proposals. The uniqueness of her work consisted in the futuristic presentation of the interior, in which the boundaries between floor, walls and ceiling are erased, and each surface effectively continues an extraordinary composition. High ceilings are a big advantage of the apartment.
Choosing the main direction of design
The main idea of the project is to make the space unconventional without the usual design with the usual highlighting of the ceiling, walls and floor. Bari Alibasov wanted to break stereotypes, move away from standard techniques for arranging small rooms and create comfortable spacious rooms for communication with friends.
Bari Alibasov set a specific task: to form a broken space in the Gaudi style. The basic design was chosen high tech, which, as a result of improvements, turned into surrealism. The musician was categorically against explicit images, for him the hidden meaning of the interior, not devoid of functionality, is important.
The main idea of the apartment's decoration is a metropolis with its wide avenues with an abundance of glass, concrete and solar lighting. As in every city, there are also small alleys with a calm and measured character. According to the designer, it is this combination that gives the apartment its individuality.
The difficulty in the project for the designer was represented by the already purchased furniture. The decorator had to perfectly fit it into the interior and create the whole design for it. For the ceilings, the designer chose multi-level structures with spectacular multicolor lighting from the inside.
The designer managed to create an open interior, but at the same time the privacy of some of the premises was preserved. The architect divided the apartment into public and private areas. The first includes a kitchen and a living room, the second includes bedrooms, several mini-rooms and a bathroom with a toilet.
Creative accents in the living room
In the living room, the decorator has implemented a unique idea. The main focus was an art object resembling a nuclear explosion, similar to a mushroom. Outwardly, it hides the supporting beam behind it and visually refracts the space.
Since Bari Alibasov often has many guests, the designer has provided a large kitchen-dining room with an island and the main art space - a living room with 3D panels. Decorates the walls panelcreated by Italian decorators from fragments of slate, and avant-garde paintings by an artist from China.
Salt room
A unique eco-room was created in the apartment, equipped with the most innovative developments.
The room was completed with:
- health monitoring equipment;
- supply ventilation with multilevel air purification function;
- sauna;
- salt block;
- florarium.
The eco-room is framed in the form of a drop of oil flowing down from the ceiling, reminiscent of a woman's outlines. Crystal figurines, located in the niche of the wall, characterize the masculine principle and the moment of the birth of life.
Challenging bedroom space
The design of the bedroom was particularly challenging. In order for the bed to harmoniously fit into the space, its silhouette was repeated on the wall. Outwardly, it seems that the structure is simultaneously in two planes, while the room remains as free as possible and is not cluttered with furniture.
Ideal zoning in the kitchen-dining room
The L-shaped layout allowed for perfect zoning of the space. The kitchen is decorated in orange and black with a bar in the center. The dining table was placed at the junction of the two rooms. The dining area stands out spectacularly thanks to the snow-white 3D panels and a small sofa in a rich green color.

The main symbol is a golden bathroom
A symbol of the scandalous show business was installed in the bathroom - a golden toilet bowl with a hygienic shower and a streamlined washbasin made in the same design. The walls were decorated with Italian mosaics to match, and hanging cabinets with glossy facades were fixed.

Color harmony in the bathroom
For the decoration of the shared bathroom, snow-white 3D panels were used, against which the black glossy console looks perfect. The design was complemented by overhead scarlet washbasins and large mirror panels that visually enlarge the room.

Spectacular lighting and decor
For the implementation of creative design, it was important to choose the appropriate lighting, so that it is not only decorative, but also functional. Many projects were organized by Italian factories, which created a special five-color illumination of the art object in the living room and eco-room using LED lamps.
The designer collected items for decoration all over the world. Textiles, serving dishes and decorations were brought from Thailand, Italy, Austria and China. The decorators were looking for exactly that emotional component that the interior lacked.
Already at the end of the project, Bari Alibasov found the original of Salvador Dali, which miraculously survived the fire. The canvas fits perfectly into the overall design both in color and style.
Summary
Bari Alibasov took an active part in creating an unusual interior for his home. In many ways, he was helped by his architectural education, as well as a non-standard approach to the world around him. The result of the work is amazing. In the rooms, you can see African notes with animal skins, English restraint, and creative details in the form of a toilet bowl made of gold. As the musician wanted, the designer brought to life his favorite style - surrealism.
