With the help of a competent wrapper, you can also make candy from pickled cucumber. Saving in construction is a necessary thing for many. Even very wealthy people carefully study the prices of building materials, which is probably why they are wealthy. And what can we say, if you have to count every penny. You can build from anything, but to make it all look decent, you need to choose a decent finish, under which all your savings on materials will be reliably hidden. Let's not take China as an example.
Do you know why Chinese goods have such a bad image? Because they look good, but inside - a continuous marriage. Here you have built a strong and reliable house, but it looks unprepossessing, that's our way. This is the exact opposite of Chinese art. That is, you need to draw a conclusion - to build reliably and decorate beautifully - and then the prices will not be such housing. And the wrapper in this case should be as reliable as the walls themselves, and preferably inexpensive, since they decided to save money. So literally sit down and draw yourself a chart with the prices, benefits, and drawbacks of the materials available to you.
Another important rule is that most cladding materials imply a distance between the walls and the surface. Use it to its fullest, that is, think over additional insulation. It will not be superfluous for sure, this will allow you to reduce the cost of heating in winter and air conditioning in summer. So a small cost overrun in finishing will result in serious savings in operation.
Finally, in order to select quality upholstery, think about possible force majeure circumstances. Considering materials from this point of view, it is worth giving preference to those that are not afraid of fire, direct ultraviolet radiation and excess moisture.
Plaster or paint
If you know how to plaster yourself, then you shouldn't even think about it - choose this finishing method. Even if you don't know how, there are tons of examples on the net of how you can cope with this task and get a very outstanding facade. What can be written in the "pluses" column: excellent indicators of heat and sound insulation. Plaster will keep the wall material from any weathering.
If the walls are more or less even, and you just need to update them, use structural paint. It hides small defects, is easy to apply and protects the surface well from atmospheric precipitation.
Siding
Another budget solution that will decorate your facade for a long time. If earlier siding was only in the form of thin narrow panels, now the forms can be very diverse. Today, the most popular option is a plastic imitation of expensive brickwork or natural stone. The plastic in this siding is made using modern technologies that make it resistant to ultraviolet light and temperature extremes.
The undoubted advantage of siding is its breathability, due to which the facade is well ventilated. But self-installation still requires some skills, so first accurately calculate your strength.
Wood cladding
Wood is the traditional facade design material for our places. Such cladding will last a couple of decades. You can use edged and unedged boards, unedged ones look even much more colorful.
The block house looks expensive and rich, which imitates a bar or log. Modern technologies of wood processing keep it in excellent condition for a long time, and the natural paneling itself contributes to excellent ventilation.
Clinker tiles
Another simple and relatively inexpensive facade design option is tiles. If you choose a material with imitation of brick or natural stone, it will be very impressive. Laying tiles on the facade is not difficult - the same principles apply here as with conventional installation.
And if none of the above suits you, here is another sheathing option, this time with flat slate:
