The maximum distance between the fence posts is 250 cm. Do more - and the windage of the fence will bend the transverse supports and bend the pillars, because the load for them will be exorbitant.
Deeper or higher: how to do it right
Is it necessary to thoroughly bury the pillars in the ground or half a meter is enough? Is there a desire to save money here as well? Not worth it, because if you do not deepen them as expected - more than the level of freezing of the soil, they will simply be squeezed out after a season. So you need to deepen it by 100-130 cm, there is nothing to gain here.

Two meters is a maximum, further is too much, not to mention the fact that with such a fence you risk immersing most of your plot in the dusk. The lower the height, the less windage. Optimally - a height of 170 cm. It is enough that the curious neighbor does not poke his nose where it should not.
Measure seven times - and the fence too
You can only sprinkle salt on the peephole, but certainly not mark the fence. If you neglect the exact markings with stretched cords, a level and a tape measure, then the fence will turn out to be uneven, and this is also fraught with collapse.

With wooden pillars, everything is clear - if they are not processed, rot and beetles will very quickly "eat" the wood, and you will not have time to notice, and the pillar has already collapsed, leaving only dust in the ground.
