Experts do not expect an outflow of people from cities after the pandemic

Developers are seriously considering the development of the so-called suburban development industry. Today, the strategy of many developers is based on a sharp increase in interest in suburban construction. However, there are also so-called pitfalls. Indeed, during self-isolation, an essential point is the possibility of a high-quality organization of remote work, and this is impossible without an appropriate network infrastructure.

“Small towns and villages have become a promising way to protect against large crowds and an opportunity for townspeople to change their environment. Naturally, many thought about a long-term stay in the regions or suburbs, however, I think this decision will not be massive, since there is no developed working infrastructure for representatives of many professions that are in demand in the centers, ”says urbanist Svyatoslav Murunov.

In the south of the country, during the pandemic, the demand for private homes has increased, where there is more space and less social contact. “Remote work has forced the whole world to rebuild the economy and socio-cultural life. Private houses and summer cottages, which provide a lot of freedom, have gained great value and popularity, ”says the expert.

Interesting growth in interest is also noted in the central part of Russia. A large increase in houses and private country cottages is also observed in the Vladimir region. "In March-April, the demand for suburban housing increased by 25%. This primarily affected large agglomerations, and the trend manifested itself in both the primary and secondary housing markets. Basically, the place of residence was changed by the audience of freelancers and entrepreneurs: people who can work remotely and want to leave the big cities ", - explained the situation the general director of the company" Dobrograd Development "Vladimir Akhapkin.
