Working at a personal computer is extremely inconvenient if there is no computer mouse. It even looks ridiculous and funny. Literally everyone used this device. Any mouse can do without maintenance for a very long time, but it can refuse to perform its work with time. Users quickly get used to the form and functionality of the device, so do not always look for a replacement for a breakdown, and a trip to the service center can be extremely expensive. How to fix the mouse from the computer yourself, is it even possible? In the repair there is no particular difficulty, if you have at least some experience with the technique.

Analysis of the computer mouse

To disassemble the computer mouse, it is necessary to follow this instruction:

  1. Unscrew the fixing screws. If they are not visible on the surface, then they are most likely hidden by a label or substrates( podtjatnikami).Just lightly press the label across the entire surface area. In those places where it bends, and there are screws.
  2. Typically, the printed circuit board of the device is not fixed with screws and is supported by plastic rods. The board must be removed, getting rid of the fixing components.

Important! Remember the location of the components in order to easily return everything to their seats. Also, do not touch the optics of the device, otherwise - there is a risk of contamination with skin fat.

What if I wired the wire?

If you notice that your cursor "jumps" or moves by itself, then most likely the integrity of the wire is broken in the place where it leaves the case. Check it out very easily: you just need to pull the wire to the body and evaluate the performance. If it is restored for a while, then the problem is exactly in the wiring. It happens that when you inspect the wire, you find outward physical damage, then the cause of the breakdown is clearly obvious.

If you know how to use a soldering iron, then it will not be difficult to restore working capacity. You just need to remove the defective part and weld the ends of the remaining part of the wires to the PCB.

Wire repair with soldering

The wires are usually divided into two types:

  • From ordinary copper wire.
  • Of wire type tinsel.

Important! The second type is more elastic, therefore has a longer service life.

The wire enters the mouse casing and connects to the PCB with two types of connections:

  • Plug-in.
  • Pressing in the shoe.

How to perform repair work:

  1. For any of the methods you need to take a picture or draw a layout of the wires and contacts.
  2. Then you need to remove the connector from the board. The color scheme has long been selected by the manufacturer, which is the only difficulty in the repair.
  3. Now you need to remove the solder from the holes to solder the new wires. In this case, a toothpick or match will help, which must first be sharpened. Just heat the solder in the hole, insert the toothpick into it, removing the soldering iron.
  4. After the solder is frozen, remove the toothpick and observe the hole that is free to mount.
  5. To prepare the wires, you need to get rid of the worn out piece of wire.
  6. Now it is necessary to remove the insulation and zaluzhit the ends of the wires with solder. It is easy to make a tinker with the help of some stand: it simply puts the wires and rotates in one direction. These manipulations will give the ends of the wires a round shape.
  7. It remains to complete the ends to the board and store them according to the scheme, which was previously photographed or sketched.

Important! If your device uses wires such as tinsel, then instead of the usual solder it is worth taking an aspirin tablet.

Some computer mice have a printed circuit board with holes of very small radius. In this case, it will be very difficult to get rid of the solder. The best way is to simply solder all the conductors to the pads.

We undertake to repair a computer mouse with our own hands without a soldering iron.

Repair without using a soldering iron

Soldering is the most reliable method of connection, but not all skillfully use a soldering iron, and not always it can be at hand. Success can be achieved by normal twisting of wires, but this connection will not last long:

  1. First you need to disassemble the device itself and cut out the portion of the wire that has been ground.
  2. Now with a knife, without much effort, we cut the outer insulation somewhere by 5 centimeters.
  3. We extract the wires, but do not throw out the shell - it can still come in handy.
  4. Next, we adjust the length of the wires so that the joints( twists) are displaced relative to each other by about eight millimeters.
  5. We clean the ends of wires from the insulating material by 6-7 millimeters.
  6. Then simply twist the ends of the same color with each other and bend them along the conductors.
  7. We fill the ends in one of the prepared shells.
  8. The connection that was received must be framed with the second part of the insulation material.
  9. It only remains to connect the connector to the microcircuit and gently distribute the wires along the body.

Important! When working, pay attention to the fact that "bundles" do not touch each other.

Changing the wheel

After a long period of operation, the wheel of the device can work snatches or not spin at all. The most common cause of this phenomenon is contamination in the form of dust and villi, hammered between the receiving modules of the device. Dirt accumulates and clogs the gaps, sticking to the axis of rotation of the wheel itself, and it happens because of the coating of the wheel with special lubricant to achieve a better glide.

To repair the mouse from the computer:

  • You need to disassemble the enclosure in the same way as described above and remove all debris with tweezers or thin objects.
  • The technical vacuum cleaner, a compressed air tank and a soft brush will also perform well.

After removal, we check the device for operation.

How to fix a wireless mouse? Actions are no different from those that were discussed above. Everything will be even much easier, because there will be no fuss with the wires.

As you can see, there is nothing difficult to repair a computer accessory, especially if you have the skills to repair various electrical appliances. Dare to not have to look for a new comfortable model!
