Everyone knows that a fur thing can be washed in a dry clean, but can you wash the fur in an ordinary home washing machine? The answer is yes, if it is artificial. This product is not created from real skins, but from simple synthetic fibers, so there's nothing to be afraid of. Nevertheless, we recommend that you read the information on the label confirming the possibility of machine washing before washing. As a rule, you can unconditionally wash fur from a jacket or down jacket, fur mittens and decor items( covers, rugs).Other things should have a special permit for washing.

To wash the fur, proceed as follows.

  1. Comb a thing with a brush or comb for removing dust and dirt, otherwise during washing it can penetrate deeper into the structure of the thing.
  2. Set the delicate mode, the temperature is not above forty.

  4. After washing, gently comb the pile.

What can I do if the fur is natural? Unfortunately, it is impossible to wash products from animal skins, since wetting the skin leads to a change in the shape of the finished product. However, there are several effective ways of dry cleaning, eliminating yellowness and stains, which should be noted.

Method No. 1

Due to its excellent ability to absorb odors, grease and dirt, solids are often used to clean clothes of various types of contamination. To remove yellowness, manga and starch are also used as the most gentle absorbents.

  1. Straighten the fur on a flat surface.
  2. Sprinkle a dirty place with the selected substance - semolina or starch.
  3. Moisten the surface of the fur with water to make it slightly damp.

    Tip

If there is dirt in addition to yellowness on the fur product, try rubbing the fur carefully in your hands, as in a manual wash.

  4. Leave the appliance for a while until the lint is completely dry. Then shake the thing and comb the rump / starch with an ordinary brush.

Method number 2

Less sparing cleaning of white fur is wiping with peroxide and ammonia. To do this, prepare the following solution: a glass of water + a teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide + 2 or 3 drops of ammonia. The resulting liquid can be applied to the nap and for prevention, and to remove yellowness from polar fox clothing.

Tip

If the solution does not cope well with the yellow tint, try reducing the amount of water in the recipe.

Using peroxide and ammonia, it is important to remember that these substances are applied only to the nap, but not to the skin( skin), otherwise the fur coat may lose its original shape.

Method number 3

This method can be noted by the owners of white furs. To clean the white fur at home, you only need cleaned gasoline and ordinary sponge. Sponge should be soaked in gasoline, and then gently hold it over the surface of the thing. This rubbing reliably removes the yellowness, and this effect will increase if this method is supplemented with method No. 1: sprinkle the fur with starch, which will absorb an unpleasant odor and residues of contamination.

Clean collar

Some difficulties arise when cleaning the fur collar. It is not possible to wash the fur collar, as already mentioned above, except when the collar is part of the down jacket. For this item of clothing, only dry cleaning is suitable.
