Unfortunately, it is easy to suffer from fuel oil not only working clothes, but also an absolutely new jacket or favorite down jacket: it is quite unfortunate to lean on or lean on a dirty surface. But to remove stains from fuel oil is not so simple, because it has the property of eating into the structure of the fabric, which means that the usual washing in such an unpleasant situation is surely indispensable. Can I even clean my favorite clothes from such stains? We are sure that this is possible, and we are ready to tell you which means to apply!
Gentle methods, such as in black oil, it is best to wash immediately after you get dirty: if you let them wither and enter the fabric, then the strength and time for their removal will be many times more. Gentle means are suitable for those cases when you quickly noticed a stain and can quickly start cleaning, and certainly will help a little with old spots. So, what can be done? - Detergents.
If you can immediately begin the operation to remove the jacket from the stain, try to apply any stain remover or dishwashing liquid to the contamination. Leave the remedy for action for 1-2 hours. It is not a fact that such a procedure will completely and at the same time help to erase the stain and relieve you of the problem, but it certainly will not do any worse, so we advise starting with it.
- Tar soap.
You can also remove the stain with tar soap. Just do not wash it: the more you rub the fabric, the deeper the insoluble resin will penetrate into its structure, reducing your chances of quick cleaning. Just soap the soap, leave it for 1-2 hours and rinse the thing. If soap to wash off the fuel oil did not help, let's go further.
- Car shampoo.
There is an opinion that this tool helps to clear things from mazut better than others, so if you have a jar of quality shampoo for cars, you can immediately soak the jacket in it. Fir or eucalyptus oil.
Try to remove the stain with a cotton swab moistened with any of these essential oils. Of course, their dissolving properties are not so strong, but they also do not have to worry that they will spoil the fabric or leave whitish spots. Stock up with patience and often change the wadded disks: as soon as one absorbs a part of the fuel oil, it is necessary to change it to a new one, otherwise you will only smudge the stain from the fuel oil, which certainly will not help it to wash.
- Oil.
Fresh stain can be smeared with butter or margarine to prevent it from turning into hardened resin contamination, and then remove, like other greasy stains, with iron or detergents.
- Iron and wipes.
If it seems to you that it is impossible to wash fuel oil, stop using water and detergents in favor of a regular iron. This method is suitable for fresh, but already beginning to freeze pollution, because under the influence of high temperatures, fuel oil will return its viscous consistency and can absorb into the napkins. Just put one napkin under the stain, and the other on top of it and gently walk through the dirt with a heated iron. It is worth saying that this method is more suitable for ordinary jackets and other clothes made from thinner fabric than for down jackets.
Board
You will most likely have to repeat any of these procedures several times before you can see your jacket in its original form. If the spot does not want to dissolve, you will have to switch to heavy artillery.
Aggressive funds
If it was not possible to wipe the stain with delicate tools, then other derivatives of the oil industry or alcohol will help you to remove it. Turpentine and ammonia.
Mixture of turpentine and ammonia can remove oil residue if moistened with a cotton pad or a cloth and applied gently to the contamination. Disks need to be changed, gradually removing more and more fuel oil, until the stain completely dissolves.
- Petrol.
In order to remove fuel oil with gasoline, you need a well-cleaned product, which can be found in technical stores, and not at a gas station. Dampen the cotton wool with petrol and attach to the fuel oil spot. As soon as the cotton wool turns black, change it to clean. In doing so, remember that you do not need to rub the contaminated area.
- "White spirit" or acetone.
These solvents also help to wash off fuel oil, but use them better only in a well-ventilated room. Actions remain the same as with gasoline: dissolve and absorb a little fuel oil with one cotton pad, change to a new one - and so until the spot disappears.
- Toluene.
Another toxic, but effective means, capable of removing fuel oil. But this time we advise you to add gloves to the ventilated room and wadded disks.
