What do we need?

• First of all, we need a wire. It should take 6 meters. You can take a two-wire wire or two single-core, but the most beautiful thing will look like a twisted pair that will give your retro garland a festive look.
• 10 lamps and the same number of cartridges for them.
• Plug.
• Tools( fork, screwdriver, cutting pliers).
• Sewing Meter.

Important! The number of lamps you can choose to your taste - it depends on their power. Too bright bulbs in large numbers will look annoying.

Assembly of the garland:

1. We divide( or cut) the wire into 9 pieces of 50 cm, the remaining end will be 1.5 m.
2. If you cut it, the ends are cleaned with a knife or clippers. It is best if there is a special tool for stripping the wires.
3. If you leave the wire intact, then remove the insulation from a small area between the marked zones.

Important! Try to do it carefully so as not to damage it. It is better to twist the bare part of the wire with eyelets - so it will be easier to insert it into the base.

1. We prepare the cartridges, remove the top part from them, insert the peeled ends or "ears" into the base.

Important! We use a parallel connection in connecting the lamps. Then, if one of them burns out, the remaining lamps will still burn.

1. Connect the plug to the long end. Instead of a plug, you can attach a dimmer with a special adapter.

Important! Due to the dimer, you can change the power of the helix of the bulbs.

2. Cut at the bottom of the resulting homemade lamp shades for glowing LEDs.

• LEDs for 12 volts;
• power supply unit at 12V;
• resistor;
• soldering iron;
• knife;
• sealant.

The simplest scheme that does not require special knowledge is the serial connection of all elements:

1. First you need to calculate the step of installing the LEDs and marking the wire.
2. It is recommended to place diodes every 20 cm.
3. Make marks on the wire and clean these places with a knife.
