And with the onset of cold weather, hordes of voles rush to your house for the winter. They crawl inside the walls and under the floor, run along the ceilings, poison your life with their squeak and fill the house with a specific stench that no air fresheners interrupt. If so, then you are the one to blame in the first place. There are many effective methods of combating and preventing this scourge.

Why do they take over frame houses so easily

Frame walls are not blind brickwork for you, there are always some cracks through which mice find their way through. For these creatures, a gap of 1 cm is enough for free passage. Rodents tend to go where it is warm and there is food, so they will easily find your home.

Slots, ventilation holes, communications - all this will become a gateway for migration. And even if you spend a lot of time and effort to seal all possible passages, this will not stop the rodents, because they can make their own moves with their sharp teeth.

Measures to prevent the appearance of rodents in a frame house

There are ways to prevent the appearance of rodents even at the stage of building a house. If you order construction from a contractor, discuss these preventive measures with him in advance:

• Installing a protective mesh under the floor and on the plinth trim. Metal mesh, cell side - 5 mm. No mouse will fit into this one. The metal on the grid must be at least 2 mm, rodents will not cope with it.

What rodents don't like:

1. Broken glass. They can fill up the places of penetration of voles. And if you add wood ash to the glass, they will generally change their minds about finding their way into your house.
