The walls of my house are made of frame technology and are covered with clapboard. I decided falshkamina frame is attached directly to the wall. So it will be more stable.

Before taking scenery, I thought: what makes this design similar to a fireplace? In fact, this can only help the fire. Give it up altogether? It's not part of my plans. I would like to put in a fireplace scented candles. And in order to increase the glow of the fire, I needed a reflecting surface on the inner wall of the hearth.
When everything was ready, it is time to paint the work. I have chosen for this purpose white acrylic paint. It does not smell and is well applied to the timber.
Falshkamina box turned out great, except for the inside and outside corners. In these places were visible all the bumps. To hide them, I bought a wooden corners with relief treatment.
A small addition to the fireplace
In my representation of the fireplace have to be arranged something like a large painting or mirror. After some consideration, I remembered that somewhere in the barn waiting in the wings an old metal frame, which is probably 100 years old, no less.

In the near future I plan to buy a small heater with a screen that simulates a live flame. Install it in my falshkamin.
