But sooner or later the end of the life of this thing comes after one unintentionally planted spot, and the question arises: how to whiten a white shirt, removing all the contamination at home? Unfortunately, not everyone can give an answer, but because the favorite subject of the wardrobe flies into the trash can - and in fact, most likely, it could be saved by simple means. What - read further.

General bleaching shirts

    1. Hydrogen peroxide. The old kind peroxide has saved more than one shirt. For washing it is enough to prepare two liters of water at room temperature and pour a teaspoon of peroxide into it. If you are afraid that the thing will turn yellow - you can add to the solution 5 grams of soda with calcium. The resulting composition mix well and leave your shirt in it for twenty minutes, periodically shaking the solution.

      Board

This "recipe" is designed for bleaching shirts from synthetic fabrics. If your shirt is made of natural textiles, for example cotton, then the water temperature can even be increased, although the time of soaking will have to be reduced by half.

    2. Hydroperit.
By the way, replacing hydrogen peroxide at home can become hydroperite. It is available in tablets, which must be dissolved in water( 9 pieces per 10 liters).Further soaking occurs in the same way as in the case of peroxide.
    3. Olimith.
A modified version of soaking with peroxide is whitening "peroxide + ammonia".Indeed, ammonia not only brings to life a great feeling, but also removes pollution - even from suede or nubuck. With white shirt alcohol will cope with a bang - for this only it is necessary to connect five liters of warm water, a tablespoon of peroxide and as much ammonia. Please note: before soaking, the shirt must be pre-washed beforehand. Leave a white shirt in the water for half an hour - the reaction will pass by yourself, and while you can do your own business or ventilate the room from the sharp smell of ammonia.

  1. Boiling.
Another version of bleaching, familiar to our moms and grandmothers, is boiling. True, it is suitable only for cotton, which will not shrink. First, take the shirt and rub soap with soap. Make sure that there is always a high quality household soap( 72%) in the house, which will not leave yellow divorces on things. Wait until the soap is absorbed into the fibers of the fabric( 20-30 minutes), and start boiling: take a pot of water, add detergent into it, bring the water to a boil and throw the shirt there for half an hour. It is recommended to stir the thing periodically in water.
  2. Salt.
But bleach synthetics help cooking salt. This method is suitable, of course, for products with a low level of contamination. Take water and dissolve salt in it in the proportion of 40 grams per 4 liters of hot water. Wait until the water cools down, otherwise risk after soaking get a thing for a smaller size! In warm water( about 40 degrees), put the shirt on and leave for two hours. After soaking thoroughly rinse the thing!

So, we have looked at various ways of general bleaching of shirts at home. And what about the single spots? Is there really no salvation from them? Do not worry, our ancestors thought up everything long before us.

Spot Control

  • Ballpoint Pen

The most frequent and all-familiar problem for office workers, students and schoolchildren is the traces of a ballpoint pen. One awkward movement - and a snow-white shirt, it would seem, is forever ruined. However, a relatively fresh stain or stroke can be removed with cologne. Spray, or even better - pour cologne on the contamination, hold for a couple of minutes, and then wash this place with laundry soap. If it did not work the first time - try again.

  • Chocolate

Another danger lies in wait for us during the lunch break. How to remove a stain from chocolate? There is one unusual, but effective advice: in hot water mix 100 grams of liquid soap and 20 grams of flour. In this composition, hold the thing for at least twenty minutes, and then stretch in cold water. Of course, this method is suitable only for shirts that do not sit down.

  • Wine and food

White shirts are an attribute not only of the dress code, but also of the evening dress. Therefore, they often fly into the trash can or tear on rags because of the planted spot from wine or food. Next time try to fill the spot with salt, wait a little and dunk the shirt in a solution with ammonia, the recipe of which is described above. But the old stains from the wine should be soaked in hot milk.

  • Fatty food

Evening activities rarely do without fried food. The greasy stains that it leaves on clothes are very difficult to bring out at home. They need to be wiped with a solution of ammonia and water( one to two), and then washed in warm water.

Advice

You can also use turpentine, though the smell is not pleasant either.
