# The cities of Russia with the cheapest apartments in new buildings in 2016

The real estate portal "World of apartments" recently published the results of a study of the cost of housing( both the cost of apartments and the cost per square meter of housing) in the primary market in 62 major cities of Russia( the list also included the Moscow region) for the I quarter of 2016.In 30 cities from the list, which will be presented further and which can be called large cities with the most inexpensive housing, the average cost of an apartment in a new building is less than 2.6 million rubles. For comparison: in Moscow, the average price of a new apartment is 24.4 million rubles, in St. Petersburg - 7.3 million.

30 place. Tula. The average price of an apartment is 2.57 million rubles. The average cost per square meter of housing is 45,809 rubles.

29 place. Velikiy Novgorod. The average price of an apartment is 2.53 million rubles. The average cost per square meter of housing is 44,591 rubles.

This is due to the fact that in Makhachkala the average family size is larger than in Magnitogorsk, therefore in Makhachkala, the main demand is for kopecks, while in Magnitogorsk - for odnushki. Despite the inexpensive housing, Magnitogorsk is not the best place to live, becausethis city is among the ten most polluted cities in Russia.
